  1. Chris Mullin was also efficient. Dude shot 50.8 percent from 2 for his career and 38 percent from 3. Marques shot 51 percent so they were both efficient. However Mullin got him on the threes cuz he marques was at 15 percent.

  2. Marques Johnson not lying that was the first time he shot below 50 percent. He was at 45 percent. The following year he was at 51 percent

  3. This goes down as one of those classics, just like Vern maxwell…..why there isn’t a tv series about the NBA cocaine 80s is beyond me….they’d probably ban it like espn did “playmakers” it was to real. Easily my favorite basketball podcast 💯

  4. Marques Johnson was a UNDERRATED BUCKET GETTER you don't average 20/25 ppg in the NBA by accident, also like the changes to the show, Gil letting the guest talk! 👍

  5. Another point forward from back in the day is Mickey Johnson. Played for the Bulls, from The City at that. Went to college with his namesake.

Paul Pressey was after Marques Johnson in Milwaukee. Of course Pip might be the most refined and decorated point forward in terms of that role and both sides of the floor.

  6. Outstanding interview. MJ is a great storyteller and keeps you interested the whole time he is sharing his story. 💯
