    > *…..the Knicks are one of **seven teams that have let go of at least seven double-digit advantages in losses this season.** Fourteen teams have blown at least six double-digit leads in losses; 21 have blown at least five. Every team has turned at least three double-digit leads into losses — except for the Memphis Grizzlies, who are somehow yet to blow one.*

It’s the NBA in 2023. We shouldn’t overreact to the losses. This is a good team and I’m here to enjoy the ride.

3 pointers and still hard to play defense without fouling

    Makes closing games very hard

Yeah I know, I just don’t think Randle playing 40+ minutes a night is sustainable. He’s been amazing even though that Bucks game was rough, but I really don’t want to run him into the ground. We need more bench help, and that’s where the Knicks fans are struggling. When Hart and Fournier check in, the lead shrinks. I don’t think people are as mad at the blown leads, more so mad that Randle and Brunsons 40+ minute efforts are going to waste because Fournier can’t hit the rim on a three and Hart can’t make 3 layups in one possession

  5. I’m 100% convinced the refs are calling games with comebacks in mind.

Tbh I hate excuses like this because everyone else is losing leads its okay that we are. Anyone have the Atheltic article Id be curious to see who the other teams are.

Thib’s is a defensive coach who can’t coach defense because the NBA has changed almost every rule to favor offense. It’s a league wide thing and it’s a joke. The NBA has gone overboard with the changes. We are gonna see teams shoot 50%+ from the field for the season soon.

live betting the NBA is incredibly lucrative.

find a live dog down 15 or so at the half with a superstar player and take the +300 line.

A 20 point lead today is equivalent to a 10 point lead 8 years ago. Teams can go on 10-0 run in a minute.

No lead should feel “safe” and a blow out unless you are up 30

Refs also clearly change their call criteria to help comebacks. It makes tge gamed much more watchable to casual fans and is good for ad dollars. Follow the money.

Katz doesn’t name every team, but here are each teams number of blown double digit leads

    Blazers – 9
    Hawks – 8
    Mavs – 8
    Knicks and 6 other teams – 7

21 teams total have blown 5 double digit leads

Every team except one has blown at least 3

And the only team to not blow a double digit lead:

Grizzlies- 0 (Funny enough we were losing by double digit in both our games against the Grizzlies and both games came down to wire)

It’s not really an excuse, the reality is that 10 point leads aren’t really a big deal in the NBA anymore with 3 point shooting

But how many did it in under 30 seconds? Knicks still #1 baby

This article reminded me of the Cavs/Jazz game last night where the refs gave Clarkson a 4 point play + a flagrant (Clarkson jumps 2 feet forward into the defender) which gave Jazz the possession after the FT and ended up being another foul on a 3 which was a 7 point swing in 13 seconds.

Cavs losing is good for us but it has to be frustrating watching the ref’ing at the end of some of these games.

All I know is Randle and Brunson are tired by the mid 4th quarter they need better backups.

Makes me feel a bit better that it’s a league trend. It’s not surprising with how good offense is and the amount of 3pt shooting today. And sometimes teams get hot at the end when you go cold.
