  1. I love the part where he doen;t use his challenge………….time………and time and time again. Thx for trucking the Lakers back in the day, you have my forever gratitude. But dood, your coaching sucks D.

  2. Why didn't we challenge the obvious hook foul? Just let the refs screw us. Was a one point game but we gave em free throws they didn't earn.

  3. I just don't understand. The last 2 ish 3 ish weeks or so we have had nothing but legit chances to advance in the standings but we just keep shooting ourselves in the collective foot. Trying to remain optimistic but this is getting real frustrating. Podcast is great though! Gives me something to look forward to related to the Blazers, keep it up, hopefully they figure it out

  4. I think it actually matters that Nassir and Justise are out injured for the Blazers defense. Still, I forecasted the Blazers hovering above the play-in region so it feels like despite the strong start, they’re on schedule. Which now makes me wonder, what would the Blazers record would be without that strong start to the season?

  5. I agree. Coaching doesn't matter nearly as much as the players. Has CB been great? No. But his roster is a mess with fit, size, injury, and then dudes just sucking.

  6. Imagine how awesome we could be if Nurk could play as hard as he flops, flails and cries to the refs. But seems the powers that be love this roster and coach so just another season watching potential go to waste by the blazers front office yet again. Let’s go RipCity!!

  7. I'm really disappointed in Chauncey's endgames this season and sadly, don't think he's putting an address on his vets when they don't execute. Somehow he's too "close" to his guys and seems to think you just roll the ball out and let your vets figure it out….his endgame timeouts, challenges and schemes have been terrible…I can't help but think Stotts would have had this team in a better position in the west this season than Chauncey has. I'm over Ant….trade him for a bigger defensive ball handler.

  8. What was going on those first 13 games or so? Was it just guys playing above their head? Because it felt like Chauncey had guys bought in on the defense, and we were getting to the rim a ton, and you had Lamar on the broadcast giving him a flower or two because they were playing THAT GOOD, and they were. Chauncey used his challenges to perfection back then too, was it all just luck? It felt sustainable at the time minus some good shooting %'s, never saw us falling this flat after that start.

  9. “Live by the 3, d…” This is a .500ish first round exit team because of Damian Lillard-Chauncey Billups hero worship. Until the fans demand more, then this pathetic mediocrity is what they’ll get. For the record, I predicted a closing record of 43-39.

Lillard takes up 1/3rd of the salary cap, which is really why the team has a sh1tty bench- ala Lakers. Billups has been failing to make adjustments to what their opposition has done to them- they have the Blazer’s number, there’s no balance to their offense, and copious misses create a too easy transition for the opponents.

I really like Jabari Walker’s presence inside, I would start him with 20 minutes, develop him as a PF and play Grant in his natural SF position. I would trade Lillard before Feb. 9th to a playoff quality but floundering team that has a front-court heavy roster and would benefit most with Lillard.

  10. Portland shooting 6/35 for 3, that’s 17,1 %,
22%, which is also miserable would be enough to win the bloody game…

  11. Mike are we still denying that there's a roster problem.

We were clearly undersized against the Magic.

  12. Sadly even if we tank we would land in the same position as last year im sure. Mid lottery pick and wasting this years team might as well just let everybody walk and do there thing

  13. Really don't agree with you, Mike. CB is not awful, but he is below average. He does not really call any inbounds plays when the defense is playing tight. We have had several turnovers, poor clock management, and missed opportunities because four players raise their hand for an inbound pass and there is zero movement. I think his substitutions are not thought out very well either. When missing three bench guys, he still floods the floor with deep bench players. This is asking for failure. He can stagger people much more to lesson the deep bench deficiencies. But no, he subs as if he had a full bench like other coaches do. That play you speak of when Nurk goes to the corner and others screen for Dame is just plain dumb. This Blazer offense makes it easy on the defense. And if the Blazers go to the playoffs, it will be even worse. Not saying CB should go, but if you keep doing what you've been doing, you going to keep getting what you've been getting.

  14. UGLEEEE! I am happy to at least see what GPII can do. Let's hope this slump ends soon🙏
