I do believe that GTJ has evolved as a sg, he's understanding more options available and identifying where those options are limited. Playing his offensive game and understanding his role to be a bucketgetter sometimes and more of a mobile jumpshot guy others. He's worth 25m even as a lesser athlete among the 2 guard position in the league.
If they trade for Gary they would have to pay them more money. If they pay them less then they are not as good as Gary. So why waste time and just keep gary and pay him more.
