I wonder if there is a stat that tracks the number of games a team goes down big in the third quarter, comes back to make it a one-possession game, and loses at the end. I would bet the house on the Spurs having the most number of games like this this year.

More good stuff though! GSG. Friday will be fun.

  2. Ja just said that if he tried a layup Jakob would have “blocked the shit out of it” on a live interview so there’s that

Well hey not too much to really complain about in the long run here.

Team actually executed really well on offense and in general has started to look like the team from the first couple of weeks running lots of motion offense and not turning the ball over profusely

Zach Collins and Trey Jones are both fighting with each other for title of ” dude who Maybe way better than anyone could have possibly expected”. If Collins learns how to stay out of foul trouble, he’s going to become a starting caliber center at this rate.

Jeremy had some welcome to the league moments on defense, but I thought the team consistently played their best when he was on the court. He’s turned into such a good connector and facilitator and is always a threat on cuts and offensive rebounds keeping teams on edge

Was definitely an up and down game from Johnson but I did appreciate his aggressiveness even if a lot of it was very reminiscent of his first two years in the league where he was just a bowling ball going downhill without much of a game plan. He was much better in the second half

Jacob is going to get clowned for that dunk from ja but he was tremendous at defending the rim. All game really forcing the grizzlies to rely on Morant as the soul le contributor on the inside and a bunch of hot shooting from the outside.

If the Spurs are serious about trading their veterans well then the last month has been good stuff because Doug McDermott and Josh Richardson are both playing like guys that are worthy of a first-round pick right now. McDermott in particular has been unbelievably efficient and impactful on offense. He’s really kind of figured out his role with the team and causes so many issues coming off the screens as a cutter and a shooter. He’s such a better finisher at the rim than anyone would realistically expect

Just a real fun game. Hopefully the team can take a short break from picking up competitive losses. And pound Golden State in front of 65,000 plus on Friday.

Impressive stat line from Tre tonight.

  5. haven’t caught too many games this season, but I loved the fight and effort the team showed out there
