Do you think the Pelicans need to make a trade sooner rather than later? What type of player should they target?
All is still well. I’m just proud we are finally relevant. Been waiting to be this excited since 2002. 💯
I think we need something but I am afraid any new player they bring in would possibly disrupt the chemistry they seem to have. Other than picks and some players at the very end of the bench I really don’t want to trade anyone.
No trade is needed atm, just need to be more patient, overall Pelicans did well tonight, its Celtics after all

They probably don’t need to make a trade but we all know Devonte has to go soon. What if EJ can give this team productive minutes? Toronto looks like they may blow it up. I’d inquire about Fred VV or OG. It’d be nice to see Herb getting starter minute offf of the bench.
The Pelicans need to structure the team as if Bi and Zion won't play much simultaneously because they haven't. Another consistent scorer off the bench helps while they're out, and CJ would have the help he needs, and the team will be better down the stretch when your stars return.
Don’t trade anyone bc it’s just not worth it! I agree we could be better in places but I don’t think we will get better moving things around. We need our guys healthy
Nothing wrong with the Pels outside of maybe shooting. They just need Zion and Ingram back already idk how much more time off he needs for a toe injury.
We should trade DG Jaxson, some 1st for a good shooter and a good big. I would probably trade JV too if the offer will be better.

Bogdonivic, Beasley & Bamba or some other shooter or center. I read/heard that as many as 11 contenders are lining up to trade for Bogan (Detroit) & he would fit seamlessly coming off the Pels bench. Would you trade this year's #1 which includes the Lakers swap for him? That swap is losing value as the Lakers climb in the standings.

Are the NBA Pelicans starting to look like the NFL Saints with injuries ? I don't understand the injuries these days. I've been following the NBA and NFL for over 50 years and don't recall players constantly out due to an injury like now a days. You made a comment that rebounds wasn't a problem tonight, 50 to 33 is a big problem.

There are 3 major gaps: Offensive rebounding, defending in general, and crunch time inexperience from too many bench players. This still applies with the team at full strength.
So a veteran that can hit the boards (and score double figures), a stopper defender on the 3-point line that can hit some bombs himself , and someone that's been the league for more than 3 years. Jose and Naji should not be untouchable, unless it's both for an all-star. Even Herb and Dyson are tradable for someone that fits my description above. Who can they get for Valenciunas? His offensive rebounding stats are probably abysmal for a 5. Notice the first five minutes of most games? He's not really a +/- help at all in that critical part of the game. Another note: I hope Zion is practicing getting more arc on his free throws during his rehab. The 85+%'s all have more arc. Trey's release is top notch. How about some teammate assistance? 2 extra points down the home stretch of games really counts. Rant over. Thanks.
Trey Murphy needs to be more aggressive. He could be a 30ppg player. I love when he drives to the hole and tries to posterize the opposition.

CJ is playing out of his mind right now, but I do think that we have to make moves based on how good he’s going to be. He’s 31…if we’re going to win a championship with CJ, it’s got to happen in the short term. We may not have the time to wait for some of our younger guys to develop in 3-4 years.
I would agree with needing to add another scorer only because BI and Zion are so injury prone. Outside of that rim protection is our biggest need.
I’m really sick of watching the wings get all the rebounds. Where is Jaxson Where is Trey Where is Valanciunas? The big guys that are supposed to rebound or not rebounding as soon as the shot goes up they run to the other side it really bothers me that this team does not rebound on offenses or on defense.
Get well Jake, we love and need you brother! Our Pel's @ (Off/Def) strength of (60%/72%) did great tonight up until the middle of the 3rd. If Herb was there, #0, and #7 would have had a tougher 2nd half no doubt. If Zion/BI are in, their defense is in for a much more stressful night (we just have not really gotten to see our BIG3 combo gel yet). This was a really great showing for the squad. This squad already knows how to win with B.I. and Zion individually. However, I think a better rounded 2nd/3rd string big man is necessary. Swapping a streaky shooter, for a higher preforming "3&D" guy would be sweet too.
Can we talk about the food in SKC.
Its better than last season, but for season ticket holders who eat a lot of family dinners in the SKC due to never missing a game, they've gotta do better. Full Season ticket holders should get access to a optional buffet of better food. It would make the experience much better. Id pay more to get access to a buffet of better meal options. The burger buns are bad, and the fries that come with the tenders are terrible (they have improved the fries that come with the burgers tho). 3 point grill is my go to, but the buns on the Philly's taste 5 hours from stale/moldy, they don't have hot peppers, and the nacho style cheese is messy. I've ruined a few nice Polo track suits this season, Sam Wing loves me. Ive managed to upgrade my family's seats every season so far, I just hope the food options eventually get better then what we have access to right now. I cant wait to do the full "big boy" Jeffersons move on up to the floor seats. Im in lower bowl, row 17 now.
Hey Jake what would you think if the pelicans trade for Cam Reddish. I know he can be inefficient at times but I think given minutes and an opportunity he would be a great scorer off the bench. Plus he’s very cheap the knicks only want a second for him. I think devonte and a second should get it done what do you think.

Did some stat searching today- Devonte is shooting 35% from the field this year. How do you move that? Who else do you trade to get value? Jaxson? Herb Jones? Naji? Picks? Get Zion and BI on the floor together and trust the process. We’re playing with house money right now. If the team is fully healthy and still in the mix for a top seed at the trade deadline, try to borrow a shooter or a defensive big man.
It’s not that the offense struggled Zion and BI are injured ……we have enough stay the course……
We need another scorer. Trey needs to be much more aggressive. JV could of had a better game I feel. Other than that we had a really good game for us to be playing reserves the whole game besides CJ and JV.

Ball security for Jonas has been an issue this season. Having smaller players knock the ball out of his hands routinely when attempting to score or rebound is a big problem. You can feed him, but if he loses the ball going up, it's a turnover going the other way.
