Edit: but to answer your question I’m fine with the trade at the end of the day we gave up Gallo who isn’t even playing this year, 2 firsts, 2 seconds(the hornets first isn’t going to convey) and a swap. Even though I would like him to be a bit more efficient he’s easily worth the price we gave up. I just hope we can construct the appropriate supporting cast around him and Trae. Because as currently constructed we don’t have enough shooting around those two maybe if we had a certain red head instead of a certain holiday brother we’d be fine 🤔 but that’s another trade entirely.

Makes sense, hawks perimeter players have been inconsistent and so when Dejounte drives to the rim he gets doubled and has to take difficult shots. If the team had more consistent perimeter threats, and if the coach used the ones he currently has (I.e., AJ, Bogi) correctly and implemented an offensive scheme, then Dejounte would be significantly higher on the list.

one of my biggest pet peeves is when fans highlight how many points a player scored/is averaging, without taking efficiency into account.
of all players averaging at least 20ppg, Trae and DJM are in the bottom three for efficiency. I don’t care if they give us 50ppg (combined), this team will never win until they get their % under control.

He just doesn’t get to the line. 2.6 free throws a game. He needs to learn to flip. Trae is a master at getting to the line. He should be taking notes.
