  1. If they play AG at small ball 5 they can run Bones, Bruce, CB, Vlatko/Zeke, and AG. Then they also get a starter staggered and honestly AG has been the most consistent guy on the team not named Jokic his steady hand could help

  2. J.B. Bickerstaff won a state championship as a member of Denver East back in 1996. Hes come a long way.

  3. "If the nuggets have an injury on the wing in the playoffs, they're going to be fine, because they have Christian Braun."

No they absolutely are not going to be fine. MPJ got his minutes jerked around all season. We DESPERATELY needed his offense. Got played off the floor cuz he wasn't ready. CB is not going to be ready for playoff basketball if he's riding the bench the entire season.

I will die on this hill: He's already our second best defender. A good coach finds him minutes and has him ready to go by the playoffs.

  4. Fans just complain about stupid things sometimes. Braun is the 5th guard, and he cant play point. Him playing 40-50 games is perfectly fine. He will be a tremendous rotation piece in the future AND he can be trusted now if they get some injuries.

  5. No player ever is happy with riding the bench that's mentally taxing on you as a player. It's a deflating feeling that your coach can't find you minutes.

  6. Christian does need to take minutes from Vlatko IF he's having a good night. If not, then Vlatko gets more minutes Christian can sit. C can absolutely get minutes from Bones and Bones will just suck it up. He's only in year 2 of his contract. He's going to get a $20+ contract, possibly a max contract. I predict the Nuggets will eventually trade MPJ in order to make room for Bones' max contract after next season. If this was year 3 and he was losing minutes he'd be right to be worried, but that isn't going to happen. There's always room in the NBA for 40%+ 3-point shooters and Bruce Brown is going to opt out of his deal next season. Nuggets aren't going to be able to keep him they way he's playing and they can't afford him on a $15m+ contract that he's worth. That makes more room for Christian. If Bones improves his strength and defensive consistency he can be an All-star level player & he has nothing to worry about. You might not be as high on Bones as I'm indicating, but some things are just obvious. This is the modern NBA. Scoring rules and he's a bucket with a good attitude who's committed to getting better defensively. He can be a 20ppg scorer with adequate defense like Jamal Murray.

  7. I did not understand all that talk about minutes and Bruce Brown? Who in their right mind after the season so far Bruce Brown is having would suggest that he should play less.

  8. "We" did not say this homestand would fix everything, I said this homestand would basically fix everything. People are welcome to go back to right after that loss to the Pelicans in comments and chats when I was given a hard time by DNVR, you Matt, and all of the casual Nuggets fans for pointing out they had been on the road so much and playing every other day so they didn't have any time to rest or practice. I didn't take it personal from Matt or Adam on here, but Wind and Vogt both had backhanded comments directed at me for making the claim the Homestand would make things a lot better for this team.

Yes I'm taking my victory lap, because no one agreed with me a month ago and I still stand firm on my correct call. I haven't been right about a lot of things, like Facu being a good facilitator or the 3 headed monster of Green/Zeke/DJ but this one I was alone in.

I also said so many times Vlatko gives them a secondary facilitator, rebounder, some ball handling to minimize Bones having to do it all the time, and some defense so I'm taking a lap there too. I get he might just be having a good stretch, but he's a glue guy who does a little bit of everything and makes the bench a little more rounded.

Only thing I'd really like to see Malone do is schedule rest games for everyone on a cycle if MPJ and Murray are healthy. Gives Braun, Nnaji, and Bones a chance to play some starters minutes and gives orher guys a little rest to stay fresh into the later part of the season and time to build chemistry with guys they might not play with as much now.

  9. I do not know why you are so high on Jeff Green sometimes he is awful in that second unit, without him that second unit defend much better. Bones Hyland he maybe become star player, but so small and he can not last for long like all small guards. For me Cristian Braun is better player and more constant then Jeff Green, and I think that if that second unit is not working you should not play him at all.
DJ is terrible player his stats look so empty, he is so slow in attack his present does not feel. Bones and him on the flor at the same time is very bad combinations. In defense he doesn't contest shoots outside of paint. When Nikola Jokic contest threes even if he is late opponent players shoot usually very bad, but Denver have problem with defensive boards.
At the end Malone is such bad coach to see potential in his players, and a lot of times he just did not evaluated his players properly. He liked so much Barton who now is outside of rotation of really bad Washington Wizards, and some others also. Green from Golden State is one of the worst player in real +/-, and after Malone Milsap was out of rotation after couple of months. He likes to play veteran players just on their experience and not from their production of the court, younger players play with a lot of energy.
