Not sure how I feel about the trade, I think there would definitely be at least a FRP coming to Utah. I will say I never understood why the Suns were involved in the earlier versions of this rumor for Jae Crowder at all. I think Atlanta would rather have Beasley and Vando instead of Crowder anyway.
Probably a good move, but I’d feel bad for Vando and Beasley, getting traded 2x in a few months has got to be demoralizing
Wait where are the 3 draft picks that Utah always gets?
Would hate to lose Beasley. I haven’t watched enough of Collins to know how excited I should be. I like Vanderbilt but I think he’s more valuable as a trade piece and opens the path to more time for Kessler perhaps.
I know Collins was a 20-10 guy a few years ago, but his minutes, FG%, 3P%, scoring, and reboudning are all down over the last 4 years. Plus, he has only played more than 55 games in a season once since his Sophmore year.
Seems like there is a reason he has been on the trade block since before the bubble. I sure hope there would be other assets coming back to the Jazz.
if we could get him and a frp for beasley and vando thats a great deal
I’ve wanted Collins for a few years but idk if he’s really more valuable than Vanderbilt. Our defense is our problem and Collins is a much worse defender than Vanderbilt.
I would miss V-8’s motor. Dude does just not stop.
No not without a FRP
I crossed paths (literally) with Vando at the SLC airport and he was really nice in our brief exchange. For this reason, I am emotionally attached to him and request that he play the rest of his career here.
I’ll miss Vando’s hustle and the Beasley wiggle
Collins and Lauri would be great young pieces to put around a dynamic star, but we still need the dynamic star. That means draft capital. Throw in a first and I like the deal
I really like Vando, but you get spacing issues when him and Kessler are on the floor together. It’s worked having them play separate minutes so far but as Kessler keeps getting better it might be inevitable that Vando gets traded.
But who knows maybe one of the two could become a bigger 3pt threat, as they develop.
