I don’t care about having any of the three on the Raptors at this point. This “Yuta is an incredible 3pt shooter” sample is still so small. IMO, the Raptors letting him go will end up being such an insignificant thing that I can’t believe people are still dwelling on it.

Our problems go so far beyond Yuta, it’s ridiculous we’re giving it any attention.
Yuta is surrounded by a great offenss, often playing alongside 2 players who would need to be double teamed, and is AT MOST the 3rd most dangerous scoring threat on the court.
I’m happy that he fits so well in that role and can contribute to his new team’s success, while having the space to grow into hisnmax potential. Keeping him here would have done nothing for us or him.

Last season he was 35% on wide open 3s and 36% on open 3s
He either improved or he’s fluking it in a small sample. Either way the Raptors were completely correct to let go a guy who was an offensive liability

Better off using those hindsight powers for penny stocks. Last year’s shooting splits were 40/34/60. Those are not encouraging numbers and his only value then was on defense.
Just remember that all 30 teams had a chance to sign him and Brooklyn gambled on him. I’m glad his still in the league because Yuta was such a great personality. Diligent, accountable and likeable.
Rico Hines had a great quote on Open Gym “Development is not linear.” We had Yuta when he was taking a step back and Brooklyn got him on the two steps forward.
