Anyone who’s played at a sophisticated level knows this language. To date, Thaddeus has taken a gentle approach with Scottie, and I’m glad to see the recent tough love. This is the show, and you need to bring it every day. Thaddeus has an exceptional IQ.

Maybe in other contexts with other players, I'd wonder. But as this whole vid described, they got mutual love and respect and you know Thad is coming from the purest place and trying to guide.
I didn't dwell on this or go 'deep thought' or get any toxic vibes or try to analyze anything beyond what it was. Scottie was brushing him off in the moment but you know he let that wine decanter and that flavour and tone sink in. No negativity. I loved it.
As fans, we're not there. And things we sometimes see rub us the wrong way and we create our own narratives and speculations. This wasn't that for me at all. If it was Fred and Scottie, maybe I'd wonder.

One of Thad's selling points, when the Raptors signed him, was to be a veteran presence. So it looks like that was what he was doing. Hopefully their relationship doesn't sour and it is only the small bump in the road as described here. I would hope, at least privately, Thad talks to Fred about moving the ball ALL THE TIME as that habit hurts a limited offense more than anything.

It’s been said that Scottie didn’t show up to summer practice sessions as consistent as other players and his game this season hasn’t been as good as last year. I guess that could be said of the team as a whole.
Looks like Thad sees that and giving some needed tips. Take him down a peg or two. There is no doubt Scottie is a great player, buddy’s ego might be getting in the way a bit. Either way, good on Thad for sharing vet advice.
Off topic but this thumbnail photo clearly disproves all the hype of Scotty being 6'9. Here, Thaddeus looks at least an inch taller than Scotty and Thaddeus is listed as 6'8.
