Chicago Public Basketball Game of the Year (so far) was this Kenwood Academy Red South (top division) road game at Simeon Career Academy.
Whole city lined up to get into this South Side gym, even former Simeon star Jabari Parker.
Spolier: Kenwood defeated nationally-ranked, undefeated Simeon 46-43 behind game high 20 points from Kansas State signee Dai Dai Ames. Simeon was led by 10 points each from Jalen Griffith and RJ Mckinney.
Miles Rubin (Loyola) added seven point, seven rebounds, four blocks. Wes Rubin added seven points, eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks. Kenwoods Solomon Mosley and Edwon Duling stepped up on defense.
This was Kenwood Acedemy’s first time beating Chicago basketball powerhouse Simeon in school history (since 1969). Kenwood coach Mike Irvin was on fire.

Dai Dai Ames vs Jalen Griffith didn’t disappoint
I went to this game in person it was a good game
Forget site seeing go to a Chicago high school basketball game the energy is unmatched
Big respect for Dai Dai to pick #4 up at the end of the game. Shows the level of sportsmanship he has. It's levels…
Coaches so ghetto at the end 😭😭😭
That is one intense game !!!
this is so crazy because we've never beated simeon in anything since the school opened
This was an intense game from beginning to end. The crowd was unmatched, and several people were turned away. Jabari Parker was there, Jalen Tate, Deon Butler, Reggie Spearman, and several other basketball alumni. Hate we lost, but we still#1 💯💯
