It may be deeper but its version of kawhi is imo worse then 2019 kawhi

  2. Legitimate-Row7081

i mean he isnt wrong clippers are more talented but the players hardly ever stay on the court etc and that stuff matters

  3. Hazelwood38

Toronto wasn’t the deepest team in the 2019 playoffs either. Shit happens and guys step up.

  4. Downtrust

Could very well be deeper, but that’s not the only thing that wins you a chip. Other western teams seem to want it more.

  5. PhileinS

clippers are stacked. Health and team chemistry has held them back

  6. Bambamd14

For a team hovering .500, I wouldn’t necessarily pad myself in the back. But that’s just fact…social media knows more.

  7. Eagle_Beagle22

deeper? sure. more experienced? hello no.

  8. Clippers are quite stacked, the injuries have been a major issue.

  9. beefJeRKy-LB

Also Norm is playing on that team so you can’t say stuff bad about your own team either.

  10. Well he’s not wrong. It’s not the talent or experience holding the clippers back from success.

  11. Calm-Concentrate7170

The clippers will not win a championship and norm will be traded before 2024. He will retire without winning another ring and try to do media but ultimately fail. Helll also be divorced twice before the age of 46

His comments aren’t a slight at his squad that won, in fact its quite the opposite. The 2019 team wasn’t deep but what they lacked in depth they made up for in heart, passion and all the other intangibles that make a good team. That 2019 team was the definition of what a team should be, imo.

  13. cashflow_skrt

They are a better team. OG didnt play the whole playoffs, cant include him. Paul George is better than everyone we had sans kawhi. Their wings are stacked, norm is better now. Idk why this is a hot take lol

On the paper, 76er was the most talented team in 2019. 4 all start level players in the team!

  15. SakeBomberman

If the clippers win this year then he’s right, if they don’t he’s wrong

  16. lillithfair98

I think this is true, technically. They definitely have more vets with playoff experience.

The 2019 Raptors didn’t have as much offensive firepower, but IMO were one of the greatest defensive teams of recent memory. Marc/Serge/Kawhi/Pascal/OG/Lowry/FVV

That’s 7 guys (basically the whole rotation) who either have won DPOY or are very very close to all NBA defensive team level. Norm was the worst rotation defender, and he’s not bad.

  17. moderatesoul

Well, one won a championship, and the other is the Clippers.

  18. ttttyttt678

Sure but all the pieces don’t fit as well. 1.Kawhi is not as good and durable as he was. 2.Lacking a playmaking PG that can score and get Kawhi the ball in his spots. Lowry for us. 3.Lacking a mobile big that switch and provide a different defensive system. Ibaka for us.

  19. LifeofWalk

It’s more of a has-been team relying on past accomplishments instead of present IMO. Then yes the team is stacked. But that’s like having Shaq and Chuck on your team in 2023 and demanding merit in the present instead of the past!

Every team has injuries. If the current Raps catch fire they might even finish with a better record then the current clippers!

The Raptors had a fully functional Kawhi. If the Clippers’ version of Kawhi were a TV remote control, the video mode button wouldn’t work and you could only change the channel, adjust the volume and turn it off/on if you point it just right and press the button with all your might.

  21. Corporal_Sauce

Might be right but it doesn’t mean they have ‘it’ to win

  22. Markeesha

It’s one thing when media and fans disrespect a very underrated CHAMPIONSHIP team, it’s another thing when it’s own players do…

  23. Moogyban

The best part is; we are going to find out in a few months.

  24. bigdaddycorn1

I’d say this about my current team too. It’s a confidence building statement. What her it’s true or not as a competitor you have to believe you have a chance to win and this is his was of saying he thinks their team is really capable.

  25. dotDylan

AKA “this Clippers team is amazing but also old as shit and will likely crumble with injuries in the playoffs”. It’s kind of a miracle the 2019 raps didn’t have any major injuries to deal with for the older guys like Marc, Danny, Kawhi, KLOE, Serge etc.

  26. Homebrewz

We won a championship and people in here getting butt hurt that a former player is propping up his own/new squad lol.

OG didn’t even play and ninety percent of this sub wanted Danny Green blasted off into outer space
