Too much of the salary going to Westbrook, LeBron and AD. Not alot leftover to build a balanced roster, specially when one of those three get injured.

Thanks Rob.

I hate the Lakers method of signing everyone to 1 year contracts. Teams can’t fucking build if you keep replacing players
ARClNGSS
AD been injured in all those seasons and in 2020 playoffs his large amount of cap space makes it not possible to sign above average role players the teams are built around him being available and he isn’t.

Fucking embarrassing

The roster turnover was expected when they had AD and LeBron together – no other way to keep flexibility and turnover without giving huge contracts to role players. Otherwise, we’d be losing with a $200 million plus on the books. The bad part was giving up valuable role players for a single player – the fit wasn’t there, the health together hasn’t been there, and the team depth was gone.
Not to mention, 2020 off-season turnover was necessary with how short that off-season was.

lol ur not even counting 2018-19 where we changed more players. this chart should start when lebron got here.

Love AD, he is my favorite player, but if he plays half our games it means half his salary is wasted.
Westbrook plays like someone making 1/3 of his salary, it means 2/3 of his salary is wasted.
The lack of continuity replacing most role players every season also make us lose some time to develop chemistry so it means somewhat around 1/5 of the money they make we spend building team chemistry.
It makes for too much to be competitive. LeBron is still a great player, but he isn’t prime Bron anymore to carry a team, his impact is most on offense this days.

AD has missed significant time to injury in all of the seasons since 2020.

everything was trending fine until the Westbrook trade…star players get injured…roster will always tweak players year to year…trading away your best role players for a terrible player with a terrible contract…that is when the losing started…

The amount of great lineups you can build from this pool of players is crazy and even crazier that we have not retained half of them as well as a bunch of draft assets not pictured

Lets keep making trades, it’s clearly working great!
