why are people taking what he said so personally, holy

  2. pskill43

That’s why I can never root for the clippers

  3. CazOnReddit

Can we please just leave this debate in the dust and not go after Norm/stink up his mentions? Dude was just saying he supports his team with some exaggeration, no shame in that.

  4. PhileinS

i dont understand why people got so upset about this lol

  5. QueasyDrummer00

Raptors fans are becoming the worst. Why are some of you blowing up his mentions trying to defend the 2019 team. We got the chip, leave it alone. Some of you are so damn annoying!

  6. Legitimate-Row7081

its true… some people in our fan base is so pathetic and sensitive its sad… my god do people really need to blow this guy up because of an opinion?

  7. Who cares what he thinks either way, haven’t even looked at the comments on it but I can only imagine, lol. Of course he is going to have faith in his current team. I personally don’t think this current Clippers team is as good as our 2019 team, but it’s whatever, and I certainly would never go on social media to argue with him about it, lol. Some of our fanbase is embarrassingly over sensitive though, yikes.

  8. peroper7

This is going to make everybody stop bothering him for sure

Raptors instagram and twitter is a cesspool

  9. He’s still wrong. They don’t have 5 bench players who can start on other teams. John wall sucks. Batum isn’t very good anymore. Covington is mediocre. Serge, Norm and FVV were a better bench than that.

  10. Jayson2K

Jamaal was silly to tag him in the first place and go off the way he did. It’s like people can’t critically think first before pressing the send button

Once again, he’s gonna speak highly of his current team, don’t take it personal ffs

Edit: fine I’ll double down. He was **stupid** to do it. If it was just a bunch of no ones/typical sports meme pages tagging him on IG, he probably wouldn’t have known since as a verified user he can filter username mention notifications to just other verifed users/people he follows (which would explain why for the longest time he’s had his post comments limited to specific users)

  11. Throwawayaway23848

This is why I hate our fan base Lmaoo…some of it is so damn sensitive that even something that COULD be perceived as a small slight leads to a witch hunt 😂

Like who gives a **** what he said, we won a title Lmaoo

  12. YogurtResponsible785

That quote was click bait. If any fan thinks he was shitting on the 2019 championship ya’ll are delusional

  13. WAY TO GO RAPS FANS YOU TOXIC FUCKS

    _loooooooooool_

  14. motherseffinjones

I didn’t like the comment but Jesus Christ some of you need to chill out. Like he played on the team and is clearly trying to hype up his current championship potential team up.

  15. Munsonster

I’m not sure why people are acting all incredulous over the reaction here. If he was trying to start a fire he couldn’t have worded it better.

He’s on the team that managed to entice Kawhi away, many feel there was tampering and they subsequently went and grabbed as many pieces from the 2019 team as possible. They are sitting middle of the pack and he, a fan favourite during his time here, says he thinks the team is now more talented, more experienced, and deeper, so better in every way, than the 2019 team. And now he’s backpedaling.

I don’t really care, he’s just repping his team, but let’s not pretend like what he said isn’t going to be inflammatory to any fan base anywhere, given the circumstances.

  16. andy-raptor

Raps fans are sensitive, but that team was all we have since 93 jays!

  17. LifeofWalk

Norm could’ve just simply said the Clips were the deepest team he’s ever been on. Instead of “the Clips are WAAAY deeper then the Raps” kinda tone – then say he’s not tryin’ to compare! 😁

It’s like sayin’ “I have a lot of money” vs “I have a lot more money then u!” – 1 comes off as a diss, naturally

  18. hypespud

Who is hating on norm, dude is such a good dude, helped get our ship, treated the raptors and Toronto and Canada very well, only love to this guy

  19. not_a_gay_potato

Norm is a raptors legend, anyone going after him isn’t a fan in my book

  20. Outland3r_

Just taking a dump all over Lin, Moreland, Miller, McCaw, Lloyd.

  21. midnightmunchiez

Why he be disrespecting Jordan Loyd like that

  22. Norm is just good people. My last comment on this matter.

  23. AdministrativeTruth7

This is sad that he even has to address it, y’all be going too far

  24. Mesozoic_Era

Norm going off like a frustrated Redditor whose spiraling deep in the comments 😂

  25. SpicyP43905

It kinda sucks, I want Kawhi and Norm to win, but I want the Clippers to lose

  26. Kevita24

What about OG, Boucher, and Jeremy Lin? lol people definitely overreacted but that Raptors team was deeper than the Clippers without question…

    Kawhi
    Siakam
    Lowry
    Gasol
    OG
    Ibaka
    Vanvleet
    Powell
    Danny
    Green
    Boucher
    Jermy Lin

    That’s 11 men deep, homie…lol

who did I forget? that team was loaded to the gills…

  27. Beaversneverdie

Unfortunately, there are too many people in this fanbase who are completely insufferable. They will find whatever “slight” as an attack and complain about it. Bitching about Sophmores slumping, bitching about the greatest coach in franchise history, bitching about US coverage of a Canadian team when the games are literally televised IN CANADA, as if they need American validation to feel good about themselves.

  28. Good_Cookie_376

I don’t know/care what he said originally but you should probably win a chip with your new team before debating who is/was better? Seems silly to compare at this point.

  29. ShroudedMeep

I mean, wasn’t it basically consensus that depth was the weakness of that 2019 team? We had a tight 8-man rotation in the playoffs (would have been 9 with a healthy OG, but still). We kind of got rid of the depth we had to get Gasol (Which was worth it, of course).

  30. I told ya Raptors fans are the most insecure in the league, check past comments hahaha

  31. We still with you Norm. Don’t let IG or Twatter get you down, it doesn’t represent the city as a whole.

  32. Dtoodlez

Who is bothering this legend? Please farken stop

  33. Interesting-Test180

If I’m making millions playing ball I’m saying what I want and not giving a shit these ball players pay too much attention to everything

  34. KeyConscious9220

I don’t think he said anything wrong

  35. JustAnotherMark604

Everyone on that championship squad is a Raptor for life

  36. Gonnatapdatass

I liked the Clippers pre-PG and Kawhi era, back when it was Lou Williams and Tobias Harras, they were a fun underdog team to root for.

  37. AppropriateEmotion63

Norm spitting facts. Which is why when the clippers get bounced in the 2nd round with a deeper squad, it’ll solidify the 2019 run as one of the most over achieving team in nba, up there with the 2011 Mavs
