The 21 year old showed his shot blocking prowess in this contest and has now recorded 14 blocks in his last 3 games. The highlight play down the stretch being an awesome offensive rebound and two clutch free throws in the final 15 seconds of the game. A big test awaits him and the Jazz with Joel Embiid up next on the schedule and I’m keen to see how the rook will hold up and what the coaching decisions will be.
When Embiid scored 59 against the Jazz earlier this season including 26 in the fourth quarter, Kessler only got 12 total minutes (which he was a +13 in) and none in the final quarter. The ultimate baptism by fire next game will be well worth the watch..I hope.

The Timberwolves were just impatient. This kid led college in blocks, is 9 years younger than Gobert, and probably can do aroun 60-70% of what Gobert does.
