Everyone’s just standing still, no one on the team made an effort to get open while Trae was getting doubled, still a bad shot but can’t put all the blame on him. Plus terrible coaching

He wasn’t passing to anyone in this situation. Not with the make he had prior. And this happens multiple times a game. At some point you have to give part of the blame to the franchise player that’s on a max deal. I think it’s finally obvious to everyone that Nate isn’t it. But Trae has his own problems right now.

There has to be coaching for it to be terrible. I didn’t see a play called.

This is exactly what I was thinking, the spacing was so poor that they were able to defend the pass against Murray, hunter and Collins with only 2 guys

We don’t win a lot man su and just enjoy it 😭

I’m gonna pretend that this was strategic and Trae felt that there was a 50/50 chance a Hawk would rebound and get fouled lol

It seems live he was trying to to run a play but someone was late on it then it lead to that.

Actually like what Glen Willis had to say about this. By the time the double comes and looking what the court looked like at this exact moment, the long attempt might have been to try and capitalize on the 4v3 rebounding advantage.
On paper it obviously is a dumb shot, but with context the time it could have taken to get the ball to someone else to create, it might not have been *that* bad.

He stood around at the logo dribbling around for 12 or so seconds. His plan all along was to shoot a deep 3. It’s what he does almost every time we’re in that situation.

He was 6 for 9 from 3, I didn’t mind him taking it, I was sure it was going in. But that’s just me, I’m glad we won. Always glad when we win, I only bitch when we loose.

Nah, the reason they were standing still is because Trae waved off John Collins when he was getting in position to initiate a play. After that point there wasn’t even time for any other action.

I mean. If you’re shooting from half court in a tie game you gotta take the majority of the blame.

Yeah… still no reason to attempt that shot with 6 seconds left on the clock. See right there where Oshae and Buddy are leaving OO on an island by the rim? I know it’s tight but an elite ball handler and passer would make that play. Someone like…Trae Young.
He made a call. It was the wrong one. Having Nate Mid-Millan as the HC doesn’t help much either.
