Free The Unicorn! Kristaps Porzingis Can Help A Contender

There are plenty of players and teams for us to talk about as the NBA’s Feb. 9 trade deadline approaches, but one very large star has somehow managed to fly under the radar amid the trade chatter.

Toiling away on another underwhelming Wizards team, Kristaps Porzingis is playing some of the best basketball of his career. And rival teams should be trying to pry him out of Washington.

  1. as a mavs fan he's tr@sh to be a part of a contender team, overpaid, injury prone, inconsistent, low iq, no show on big games, and no disrespect but guards is better at the post than him

-but honestly Knicks could make a run for him probably they can use him to stretch the floor especially Randle and Brunson plays orthodox

  2. Main issue with KP is that he's too injury-prone. Him and Luka had all the makings of a dynamic duo that would terrorize the league for years to come but KP just can't stay on the court for more than 5 minutes.

  3. Maybe one day you'll realize that Porzingis only looks like a unicorn when he plays on bad teams. The NBA is feeding off of casual fans these days

  4. What would Washington want in return for him? Picks? Players? Combination of both? Players that can somewhat help them win more in the coming year plus?

  5. Washington is so weird as an organization so it would be difficult to peg what they would want back for him or even Kuzma. They won’t rebuild just retool around Bradley Beal and try to compete.

  6. porzingis too injury prone and is not a unicorn anymore bro. He used too be fast, but now that he is slow he cant blow by people. His game is more around the mid range but cant post up smaller guards. He wouldnt help any contender.

  7. He was a unicorn back then. Now guys like Webmenyama and Bol Bol are taking it to another level. He was a giant that can shoot. Bol Bol is carrying the ball up court like a slashing guard and he is 7 foot plus and can shoot 🤯 also don’t sleep on Chet and Poku on the Thunder.

  8. What a hot mess is Wizards. They have supermax Beal and KP with Kuzma. That's a not bad of big 3.

  9. it only took him being pulled out of Luka’s shadow for people to actually see how effective KP actually is. But I think we’re sounding the alarm too early with him being with Washington we have to remember, this is his first full season playing with Washington.

  10. His #s are the same as they were in Dallas, he’s just getting to the ft line a little more frequently

Wizards are 18-25. As a Knicks fan, I couldn’t wait to get rid of KP. He had a reputation for having a bad attitude

  11. Decent players are sometimes avoided because of their massive contracts. Decent players with franchise player salaries..

  12. l telling us he might never be an all star again and then show statistics better than al all star players lol

  13. If KP came to the pelicans he’d need to know he’d be the 4th option and buy in to being a defender first to help us make the jump.

  14. Would love to see a Knicks-KP reunion, this time with a front office that doesn't abuse him. He's already expressed a desire to return and he's a far more humble player than he was a few years ago. Plus a starting 5 of Brunson-Grimes-RJ-Randle-KP would be awesome.
