Why The Raptors Are REALLY In A Better Spot Than You Think | Raptors Vs Hornets Post Game Show

The Raptors tie their season-high win streak of 2 with a good win against the Charlotte Hornets. Unlucky most of the games this season, the offence was not an issue. Pascal dropped another cool 28 points with OG and Gary Trent Jr having great scoring nights. The bench did its job and beat down the Hornet’s bench when needed. Another good step in the right direction has the Raptors slowing creeping up the Eastern Standings and with hopefully continue in their next game on Thursday.

Who impressed you the most tonight? Should Thad Young be getting more time on the floor?

  1. Trade the promising 23 yo yet give the less efficient player in the league a 28 mill a year bag. If Masai keeps that bs on the table we’re mega fucked.

  2. Why is it a tough position for scottie? He is a year 2 player. He has the ball, wants to pass first anyway, which he is doing, and we are winning. I think he needs to take 10-12 shots a night at least, 8- 10 boards and some assists. He can do that without trying, if someone is struggling, step up rookie of the year. I was at the game tonight, decent win, 2 games with some consistency, NN utilizing the bench, didn't get in transition but defended the corner 3 better, i think its either or at this point. we have a bit of a run, we are back in the mix. Victor Wembanyama is one injury away from a bust, look at the last 30 years of #1 picks, more busts than Lebrons, kobe was a 13th, kawhi 16th, siakem 27,Ben Wallace was un drafted. Peace

  3. Yes this game was a shoot-out, I can't even guess as to how many lead changes happened in the first half. I've always said as a team if you can hit 10-15 3's a game you will likely win more than you lose, what I didn't count on was the other team basically matching you shot for shot, it was hard to get more than a 5 pt lead until the 4th quarter. But what I see here is chemistry, which they have been lacking due to injuries and different lineups every night. Now everyone seems healthy and the bench is starting to produce because of chemistry. As for the perimeter defense, it's basically a pick your poison scenario, lately we've been getting killed in the paint, so when you concentrate more on the interior defense it makes it more difficult to have a effective perimeter defense. But tonight there was a little more balance on the interior and Perimeter 'D" the only difference between this game and the past games was they were lights out on the three as well as us, but our interior defense was better along with rebounding which really helped. As for Gary Trent Jr. I've said 2 weeks ago, he needs to communicate to the brass that he wants to stay but you need the truth because if he goes like Lowry, we get nothing. So can we take that chance or just trade him for a comparable player that wants to play here. Because I think Lowry said he wanted to stay and basically screwed us and I think he knew it all along, I'm not saying he betrayed our team, he just did what was best for him, except he lead us along and do we fall for that again with Gary.

  4. once gary trent jr is traded they wont have him to bail them out of the games and the true tank will begin. i just wish masai would move gary asap.

  5. NY Knicks & Toronto Raptors trade. Obi Toppin, Immanuel Quickley, Cam Reddish, and Isaiah Hartenstein for OG Anunoby

  6. Here we go! ..I'm not even going to watch the video after reading the title – tired of how Raps fans have turned into Maple Leafs fans, with rose-colored glasses like mega-homers who cannot have accountability on their team because they fall in love with the players. RAPTORS SUCKS! ..a barely win (with a healthy squad) over one of the worst teams in the NBA is NOT "better" than we thought. If there was chemistry – it would have came out against decent teams, as people will round together or fall apart when there is a hill to climb. It's to be cohesive when your walking down hill. And the Raps have shown this since 2020 – they didn't win last year, or the year before with many many excuses and reasons why or frankly the year before that – and here we are out of the play-in…and the excuses have changed but remain so that we can still "believe in this team" hanging on to FVV and PS from the 2019 Championship run, like it was them who got the title. This team is still losing – and one game vs a crappy team followed by a barely win from a tired Suns team on a long road trip (w/o their star)…this Leafs fans is sold on the "chemistry". FVV is NOT a leader nor is he a WINNER – ihs soft as a twinkie filling body along with his up and down play, doesn't make for championships. What do you guys want from this season, any season? Me…I want a championship run…I am not ok with "play-ins', "1st round loses" type seasons, they are not successful IMO. But if food stamps and welfare is ok with you – then fine, this is your team!

  7. It may very well be that Gary has asked to be traded given how he has been treated this season. So if the man is going to leave, he obviously has to be traded. Too bad.

  8. No they could lose Gary Trent jr for nothing next season.. So then trade Fred instead.. Fred needs a change.. They are heading to the Lottery
