How the LA Clippers Failed To Beat a Jokic Less Nuggets Team

Without Nikola Jokic, the Kawhi Leonard-led Los Angeles Clippers should have gotten an easy win over the Denver Nuggets, right? That would not be the case and playing without Paul George is no excuse.

In this episode, Die hard Clipper Fan & Host Darian Vaziri talks about how the LA Clippers fell short, what he thought Kawhi should have done better in the 4th, & finishes with what he thinks the closing lineup should be.

  1. Most of the guys played ok for most of it, although Nico and Zubac should have feasted more – but then we faded down the stretch … AGAIN.
If Wall had only played 25min instead of 29 he'd have finished with an excellent game. He was balling and giving supreme effort, it just got sloppy on two momentum-ending TOs in the back half of Q4.
Discipline and rotations are still uneven and gaps don't get filled.

  2. Moses Brown now only has 6 games left this season per his two way contract. Clippers shouldn’t sign him tho.

  3. There’s a dilemma with Norm. First off, I like Norm and the scoring he provides. He’s a 3 level scorer and he can get to the ft line even when he’s not knocking down his shots.

However, Norm is weak defensively. He’s undersized at his position so he gives up offensive rebounds. He fouls a lot too. This is why it’s problematic to pair him with Luke or Wall. Because then you have two guards on the floor that can’t defend.
