This is probably the first trade Iāve seen that I would actually take
kaprrisch
Iād rather cap space and keep the picks. This doesnāt move the needle.

I think Iād rather keep LeVert than make a move for the sake of making a move. And with how much Iāve watched McDermott, Iām not sure heās the best fit for what we need. Iāve never really been all that impressed by his defense, or the defense of any player that played for Creighton under his dad.

Selling low on Caris, imho. Even if you think he āstinksā his version of stinks is better than either of these two. Iāve posted in other threads that I like Richardson and I do, but Caris is just better than this. Itās not outlandish or anything, just assume there is somewhere they can get more.

Seems fair. I would love it takes us over the tax thought

Cavs say no. Put them in the lux tax sadly

I think McDermott is negative value for the Cavs. Can’t play him in the starting lineup because he is too slow and bad at defense, can’t play him off the bench with Kevin for the same reasons. I guess if you think of McDermott as a Kevin replacement next year that might make sense. I do like Richardson but have concerns about him on a good team given his performance in Philly, Dallas, and Boston and he doesn’t really fit a positional need.
Also, I believe this would put the Cavs over the tax so we’d probably have to give up Cedi in the deal as well.

I wouldnāt
Diop and travers have been playing well lately. Id rather keep giving Koby chances to find steals

I canāt believe thereās not one mention of the LEBRON metric on this post. Unless Iām just late to the game on that one.

Thereās only two ārealisticā trades I would be happy about this season, and that is Kyle Kuzma or Josh Hart.
Flashy_Ground_4780
As much as levert is frustrating offensively, he is worth more than this due to his ball handling and defense… have him practice finishing for an hour at the end of each practice and keep him this year.

I would do it but I donāt think that SA would do it. Thereās like 4 teams in the league that are legit sellers at the deadline. That means that there are 26 teams who want guys who can shoot.
Price for any decent shooter this deadline is sky high. Rumors are that Detroit wants an unprotected 1 for Bogey from LAL. We ALL know thatās probably a lottery pick for a 33 year old shooter with bad defenseā¦

Just pick up Reddish for cheap and see if he works out

Hell no lol

Richardson will fetch a 1st. It might be the 30th pick but thats worth it. For the spacing he provides is almost worth that alone. Add in the fact that hes like 6’5 and a good defender.
Spurs fan here and from what Ive seen in recent trades is that we care more about draft capital than current players. I dont think Caris is a positive asset for us.

Nope

This would just replace one player for 2 into our pool of less than ideal starters at the 3 position.

I don’t know if I agree with McDermott but LeVert HAS GOT TO GO. He’s just another Sexton that can play defense.
SoggyMarley
Caris is gonna eat now we have Rubio to bring the ball up. watch it.

I’d rather do Levert + 2 seconds for Bojan
