Toronto Raptors 'Willing' To Trade Everyone Except Scottie Barnes [NBA Trade Rumors]

The Toronto Raptors currently sit 5 games under .500 and 5 games back of the six seed which would be very difficult to make up. That is likely the reason that we’re hearing the reports that everyone on the team except for Scottie Barnes is available via trade. The team has played a difficult schedule so far, but they’ve disappointed to some extent either way. The team has a ton of home grown talent that would be hard to move on from, but if they do decide to sell the core group of Siakam, Anunoby, VanVleet and Trent they could get somewhere around 10 firsts and 2 or 3 swaps which would be a ridiculous haul, on top of adding multiple young valuable pieces, whoever that may be. As we’ve seen with Utah so far this season, selling your top guys doesn’t always mean you’re headed for irrelevancy and with Nick Nurse at the helm and the team’s great development staff they could likely find stars in players that people didn’t expect.

Think about subbing, I’m on the road to 4k!!!

  1. If you are ever going to trade Siakam, you do it before the deadline. Same thing with Fred and Trent. OG is the only one you COULD hang on to going into the offseaso. He holds the most consistent trade value out of the 4.

Siakam nets you 2 picks atleast. Van Vleet is 1 more and Trent another. OG will get you 1 but you never know, they might be able to pry away 2 in the right situation.

Attach Young, Birch and Boucher to anything.

  2. i think fred vanvleet and gary trent jr will be traded, and likely chris boucher.

i dont think siakam will be moved unless some team offers a mother load of picks and swaps and young players. some team with picks and players that is in playoffs that decides to go for it. i only see knicks, pelicans or golden state able to pull this off cuz of the young players they have and the first round pickss they have. same with og anunoby, i see him the least available for trade as he is still in scottie barnes timeline and under team friendly contract. so any team wanting him will have to pay up to get him in unprotected 1st round picks and swaps and young players.

  3. well, I mean in a way they are competing for a top 6 spot, and avoiding the play-in… just maybe not the way they intended

  4. siakam and og are untouchable in terms of performance and for Scottie's mentorship. Scottie is not THAT good right now, you think he's a Lamelo Ball or a Ja Morant? He is not franchise changing but an excellent role player at the moment. Problem with "mentors" like Thad is they don't impress on the court, young guys don't respect what they don't see.

  5. Yes just make trade get new players and change is good. However keep Pascal and Scottie. Trade Fred, flynn, Trent jr and maybe OG if the price is great tons of draft picks and players
