The Mavs are gonna be a top 3 seed in 2023. The west is the weakest its been in years and the Mavs are 100% gonna capitalise and finish the season strong
Dallas will finish as the fourth seed this year. They seem to win too many games by slim margins to give me confidence they will rise up in the rankings and I think the Grizzlies, Nuggets and Pelicans are built better for the regular season.
The team still looks like hot garbage
I believe in a top3 in this season. Maybe top 2. As the Nuggets are getting better and better along the season. But the ones I really want to have a successful season are the Kings and the Pels.
The Mavs will finish as a top 4 seed in the West. I believe they have good role players but they really need a second star or close to star caliber production in order to push them in to a top 1 or 2 seed and they don’t have that now.

Mavs are playing great for what they got. Finney Smith coming back will be big for their wing defense and he can knock down some 3's as well. They'll be right there as 4th or 3rd seed.
I feel like the mavs are a good regular season team so I think they can grab around the 3-4 seed. I can see them getting home court advantage but I feel like once again they are gonna collapse in in the playoffs. But if we are talking just the regular season , luka is playing like an MVP and has single handles carried this mags team. If he keeps getting 50 points and all of that I dont see the mavs losing that much
the mavs can still hit their stride and go on a run….they need something to happen that binds them together…they have tqlent it just seems they lack cohesion
As a mavs fan who watched all the gms so far, i cant believe someone would think mavs is ascending.. mavs lost a bunch of games against teams without their best players, couldnt win without luka, offense sucks( rely too much on 3s), bad at rebound n freethrows and that 7win streak is mostly against worst team.. and they hv a relatively easy schedule so far.. next few games are the real test

Look… the thing if you have a player with the caliber of Luka Doncic with barely enough talent, you'll be at least a playoffs contender and that's a scary thought if that's is all they need to contend in the playoffs. Now imagine if they had more help 👀
Speaking if I was an opponent, don't let Mavs get Turner, Bogdanovic, Pascal or any talent, to beat Luka don't let him get any talent around him. That's how you beat the Mavs lead by Luka.

I hope so. They have green and DFS injured and have done well without them. Some of their losses have been silly and self inflicted.

After watching this game it just felt like this exposed so many flaws in both the Mav’s offense and defense… the only thing that seemed functional was Luka and C Wood’s teamwork to get the baskets they needed

I am a Mavs fan, and there is no way this team will finish in the top 3…We rely too heavily on Luka, and this team lacks depth which causes the team to struggle, especially on the defensive end.
I love Luka, he IS basketball and everything I love from it.
BUT you cannot win a title playing NO DEFENSE, relying on making tough shots.
I wish they could play better in transition, specially when he is not on the floor

Maxi Kleber, Finney-Smith and Green are the Mavs best defenders and they are all out for several weeks by now. I´m actually surprised that they are currently 7-3 of their last 10 games without these guys. C-Wood stepped up on defense though. Once they are all back the Mavs will be a top 3-4 team in the west
