  1. It's doesn't matter where he ranks among best passers, best players, bect centers debates. What's important is that we get to enjoy his play, unselfish, making teammates better play style. I'm so happy that I have the chance to watch him play.

  2. Good job @Hoop Reports! Not sure where he would stack currently, since he is just in the middle of his career. However, what's interesting about his style of play, which does not depend on athleticism: He can do this for years to come! Even when he gets older and slower… It will make little difference. He will still be able to put up crazy numbers. His next goal should be Championship, and I think as long as Denver remains healthy will be a realistic possibility.

  3. You also gotta give credit to the Nuggets organization for recognizing Jokic’s talents and putting him in the position to do what he does. We have a “baby Jokic” down in Houston, but the organization doesn’t want him to be the face of the franchise.

  4. Let's make things clear. Yes it's amazing on paper, but context is king, as always. A lot of these recent "record breaking achievements" really benefited from all the rule changes that span from the start of basketball up until today.

1st of all, hand checking has become completely illegal. A lot of "seconds" violation for people in the post, which frees up more space. As said, space is king. More space, more chance to move your body and pass the ball. This is why a lot of teams prefer longer agile players than stout, somewhat shorter than norm players. I mean seriously? Look at the height difference from way back in Wilt's days and go decade per decade. And while there are still teams that are ok with small guards like Atlanta with Trae, Miami, etc. Most are now transitioning to big men or taller people handling the ball.

This trend started with LBJ, then KD, then Giannis, Jokic, Luka, Ben Simmons, Draymond included etc. Taller and bigger guys are now mostly the passers. Some not "big" or "wings" but still lengthier than most in terms of wing spans and height like Lamelo, SGA, etc. Due to the limits of seconds violations and freeing up space, teams need longer arms or taller players to cover the space/gaps. It's not like before that stout or muscular players even short ones can bully their way in, sure it still happens, but we know the trend.

So these record smashings has truly benefited from rule changes. Heck even "zero stepping" and carryings aren't called carries or travels anymore.

So the pace and space of the game has changed. Players had to adapt to this, which brings us to where we are. It's not just the needs of the league, the better genetics of the players, but mostly the rules that made them have to change, adapt. So it's not impossible anymore that most of Wilt's records will be broken. In a few years or so, maybe in a decade or two, someone will come along or multiple "someones" will break them over and over. I'm not saying Wilt didn't benefit from his era, he did. He played with others that while talented for their time, Wilt was just leaps and bounds better than they were. It's like prime Shaq playing against grade schoolers. He'd keep dunking, no other move needed. Heck he may even average a quintuple double 😂.

Not taking anything away from Jokic, it's just that, while impressive on paper, you still need context to show that he achieved it by being the best right now, while also benefitting from the rule changes

  5. Nikola Jokic is one of these most dangerous players in NBA because he is a team chemistry maker. His teammates trust him so much as a good teamwork.

  6. Nuggets will play Pelicans,Bucks and Sixers all on the road,i think for a weeks Jokić was saving his energy for those games to show the world who will be mvp
