With exception of a Nene like middie from Capela, this duo was kind of unstoppable especially when Harden mastered the floater as a counter to them sitting on Capela’s leg on the drop. Yes, you could design a perfect big that could also pick and pop (like Embiid) but just the fact that Capela specialized, it got rid of decision paralysis for all to know their spots. Capela was an amazing project and development (homegrown!) and met his potential as much as anyone could including financially thanks to Harden and the org and his own hard work ethic. I regret some of our fans vandalizing his SUV after a post-season exit when he was clearly impacted by his respiratory illness at the worst possible time (this was after he built up his endurance was a glaring issue in the post—seasons prior. He spent all off-season at the track in Memorial Park).

Harden CP3 and Capela went 50-5 in the games they all played together in 2018. Almost a 75 win pace
