How the fuck does kyrie have 27??? He didnβt play half the season and I donβt think I saw him block a shot more than like once or twice while he was in Boston and now heβs 30
John Wall has the unofficial title of “Best shot blocking point guard ever.” I guess White is starting at 2 so he might get disqualified on a technicality but he’s coming for that crown. I really can’t think of a guard who combines his level of shot blocking and charge taking, so maybe he has a case for best rim protecting guard of all time at either position.
JB’s block numbers aren’t that eye popping to me despite getting on the “guard” leaderboard, but I do think he’s done a pretty good job protecting the rim this season. He’s second to Horford in [number of shots contested at the basket per game](https://www.nba.com/stats/players/defense-dash-lt6?TeamID=1610612738) and opponents are shooting -4.4% worse than their average, decimal points better than White and Tatum
