Timberwolves defense disappears late, Anthony Edwards' big quarter not enough as Jazz win

The Minnesota Timberwolves led by eight points going to the fourth quarter, but the fantastic defense that they played in a pair of weekend wins was non-existent as the Utah Jazz held on to win by a single point. Ben Beecken (@bbeecken) breaks down the loss, including what happened on the final play of the game as Jaden McDaniels missed an open jumper, Kyle Anderson’s triple-double, and the Wolves’ continuing issues on the defensive glass.

  1. Quarters 1-3 I blame Naz and Luka for never grabbing a defensive board. 4th Quarter I blame Ant and Dlo. They got killed defensively and got exposed in screen game.

  2. Dlo was horrible defensively, when the opposing guards constantly beat you then draw and dump to their bigs for dunks. He's trash 🗑. Scoring a few points doesn't help when your giving them back on the other end

  3. DLo. Defense? What defense. For ever point he gets he gives up equal amounts. Careless ball handling and foolish passing attempts.
