Spurs asking for 2 firsts for poeltl

So according to reports the spurs have set the price for poeltl to be 2 first rounders

This seems to be a trickle down effect of the horrible Gobert trade that has plagued the NBA ever since. But I don’t follow the spurs, so I would like to know if anyone has anything to add about the asking price. And of course the whole “set the price high”

This still makes me feel a lot better about the Turner situation. Especially since I would like to keep him if his contract can be reasonable. But also that the pacers can in my opinion ask for at least the same. But I could be very wrong about how good poeltl as actually been. Just don’t value him over Miles.

And mostly this is good news for me because it would make the whole Lakers situation hopefully disappear. I’m sick of hearing about Miles and Buddy for their 2 first with protection.

2 firsts?? Damn, I want what they’re smoking.

But yeah, I do feel as though Myles’ stock is very high right now especially after seeing this. Poeltl is a solid player, but he can’t stretch the floor or really shoot in general. He’s a decent defender, but the point is Myles is a few levels above him. Poeltl has more of an old school type game, so it’s shocking to see the Spurs asking price here. But like you said, set the price high I guess.

RIP OFF! We could buy 1/3rd of a Rudy Gobert for that price.

The one thing that Poeltl has going for him is his contract is insanely small so a lot of teams can trade for him without giving up much else besides the pick which increases the amount of teams who can trade for him, thus increasing his value.

Still, this is a ridiculous ask. Fuck the Wolves for ruining the trade market for the conceivable future.

This is probably reasonable if there is a contender that needs some size and interior defense. I think poeltl is underrated and not that far behind gobert as a rim protector and both have limited offense. If it’s a contender the picks will very likely be late.

Turner may be able to bring 2 firsts from a contender but they will be late, I get the Lakers not wanting to give up unprotected picks so far out, they could easily be lottery picks as it will be after Lebrons retired and Davis is past his prime.

Any non contenders would probably just target a guy like Kelel Ware or Adem Bona in the draft and keep their picks. If turner isn’t on the roster next year either of these guys could pair really well with Hali as lob threats and rim protectors.

We set the price of the Levert trade at 2 firsts and settled for a firts and a second
I imagine something similar to this

He’s a great defensive player with some skill moves out there.
But overall a fairly average center
