Good. We saw last night how much we need him and KD.

This is music to my ears.
Kyrie is more important long term than KD in my opinion. Besides the age difference, Kyrie was the one who wanted to be a Net. Despite all of the main stream media hate, Kyrie is still well liked as seen by his All-Star votes. He is viewed as an OG by the younger players we are going to want to acquire over the next 4-6 years. We need to get him on board again so we can build towards the future.

Kyrie is an unbelievable talent, but it isn’t his talents as a basketball player I’m concerned about.
I hope he gets his bag. I’m still on the fence about whether or not it should be in Brooklyn.

Not surprising.
Sign and trade unlikely since there doesn’t seem to be a ton of interest around the league.
Would also piss KD off, not just because of letting his running mate go but there wouldn’t be a way to add an equally talented player. Letting him walk doesn’t open a max slot.
He’s also been playing great (up until the last couple of games) since the suspension.

Ugh, I realize there’s likely no better alternative to recoup similar value, so from a team building standpoint it keeps our ceiling the highest. I do get all that.
Doesn’t mean I can’t feel gross about having to continue to root for this scumbag on my favorite team.
