Bobby Marks proposes Green, Tillman, and ’24 top-14 protected 1st rounder for Malik Beasley in ESPN’s Trade Deadline article.

Wondering what y’alls thoughts are on this idea. Bease is a solid shooter, seems like he’d be perfectly comfortable in that off-ball wing/corner 3 role. If the team is really planning on playing Danny then this trade seems kinda unnecessary, but the more that I think about it, the more I don’t totally hate this.

He started off scorching but has slowed down a good bit. (Shooting 31.5% from three in the past 20 games)

We’re gonna get to see green play pretty soon so hopefully we’ll know what we have in him by the trade deadline. I’m fine with the trade if green is much worse than his normal self though.

I love the idea of a Beasley or a GTJ off the bench for this team.

Terrible trade for us IMO. Green can play that role, if needed, and we don’t give up a draft pick.

Green has a maturing presence on the team. You can see it in post game interviews and when they face adversity mid game. We are way less bipolar than we were last year.

If he can provide any on court value there is no reason to trade him. Even if he can’t still provide impactful minutes there is an argument to keep him to be a steadying force in the locker room.
