  1. Thank you! All these tik tok based basketball podcast gtta go. None of them played outside la fitness

  2. See JJ, this is why I want you to pick the brain of Tayshaun Prince. Those record setting 04 Pistons played a hybrid "sagging" man-to-man defense. Everyone helped. They didn't just stop an action and "scramble" to cover the rest tho. They rotated SIMULTANEOUSLY!

…It was the most beautiful perfect defense these eyes have ever seen.

  3. Great stuff for us basketball aficionados. Keep it coming. Another thing I think we would like is if you could also tell us the positives and negatives of the cba from a former player's perspective. Maybe you get a current player who is very knowledgeable about it to join you as well.

  4. Seriously though. How do you guard a fastbreak if you can't breathe near the player without getting called for a foul

  5. To me, this is what I prefer more of the "new media" that Draymond has been trying to define lately. More of this and less with the drama (but can't have none of drama, it comes with it).

  6. Suns offense last year was 80% Spain PnR that’s why the mavs figured them out after game 2. You need to have versatility in your offensive sets.

  7. Are the suns the team that popularized the Spain pick and roll? Because after their championship run I’ve seen many teams run it now

  8. Love this. Now that I know you can edit this into the video, I don't want videos without these plays. I think you could have added even more plays to it too. Also, I wouldn't mind if you paused the interview to run through film that was just discussed.

  9. Love hearing about how dangerous defensive rebound and outlet is. Your best rebounder should have the ability to kick off fast breaks by grabbing the board and finding the open man streaking down court (who's already in motion once he sees his teammate is going to secure the rebound). It's also why I hated the Russell Westbrook triple double campaign because 1) it was a sham with the defensive rebounds and 2) Westbrook was one of the league's best open court guys in his prime but that ability was wasted when he'd sit near the basket and grab uncontested rebounds.

  10. Imagine if we got this kind of analysis on ESPN rather than "they didn't want it hard enough"

  11. This is what ESPN should be. I don't care about people's personal lives and what players tweet.

  12. I love this type of basketball content, I have no idea how those plays are actually run but Imma check it out. Shoutout JJ fr

  13. I know this isn't an action, but FVV pointed out that the throw ahead pass has been killer this season. I noticed that the league changed the rule where refs always need to inbound the ball to players can grab the ball and outlet pass off the inbound. I doubt JJ sees this lol, but does anyone else think that this is a contribution to the terrible transition defense we keep seeing around the league/high scores?

Let me know what y'all think if you care to respond lol

  14. thanks jj i watch basketball a lot but do not know all the details about games, this is very nice explanation of possession intricacy. also, still not sure what exactly happened to fred in that bucks series where he started hitting shots on a high rate and his career basically tilted towards all star (other than his baby got born), what i am saying it easily could have went other way as he was unplayable vs magic and 76ers that year (2019) but glad he became all star and successor to kyle

  15. It's wild how successful the split action still is. You see Draymond get the ball in the post and you know exactly what's gonna happen and yet Steph or Klay still get a wide open shot half the time

  16. Fellas, love this! Perfect for the type of fans that watch this channel, or Draymond's and, hopefully other guys who played at the highest levels. I hooped through high school, had a teammate that made it to the league ,and consider myself a student of the game but I have no idea what some of these plays are, how to read them, or who should rotate where. Please keep these types of videos coming, as others have said, you can't get this on ESPN. Would love to hear guys like Tony Allen, Jrue Holiday, or Gary Payton talk about their approach, subject matter experts.

Thanks for all the great videos, its a lot of work to do them.

  17. Thanks for actually analyzing the game and creating discussions to help people improve their games!

  18. fred is the best. Hopefully we can turn our season around. But i'm not happy with just a round 1 playoff series anymore.. I want to get to at least the 2nd round from here on out. Don't care if we have to make some big moves

  19. When Chino Hills and Lonzo did this it was frowned upon, but then they loved it when he got to the league
