  1. I think Devon's feelings on Maxey are personal and not basketball related (I get wanting to see a nice kid shine but numbers are numbers). People forget Maxey was struggling before the injury and was struggling when he came back. Since his return Melton has been better than Maxey on both sides of the ball. This is Melton's first truly horrible game offensively in a while. Defensively he was good last night.

The Lakers got shots in the paint because they destroyed our zone. The sixers rarely play man defense which is fine against the Lakers because they shoot the 3 so poorly, but doc said it in the post game interview that team just didn't have any energy.

Switching the line up for the match up is great i think but we also shouldn't be hesitant to play Thybulle and Reed more in different iterations as well.

Also, without Maxey in the lineup and Melton starting, the team had higher offense, defense and over all net ratings for basically a month.

Last thing, I've been watching you guys for a year now and I may be wrong but I feel like this is one of the few times you’ve openly criticized a Doc Rivers decision. The irony is not lost:

-> when the fan base criticizes doc (daily), you guys never got behind it, but when he does something the fan base wants, now you criticize him.🤷‍♂️

  2. Maxey is terrible on defense and the bench need scoring why not have Maxey come off the bench and focus on scoring

  3. Sixes guards are small guards so when they play these taller guards they struggle who just shoot over them.

  4. Keith ain’t never happy. He wanted Maxey off the bench and he complains after 1 game lol. Dude is funny

  5. Matisse fouls a decent amount which is an issue. Doc says he isn’t good offensively but some games matisse scores more than PJ does. However almost every game matisse has started in they’ve won and gotten off to a good start. I think it’s at least worth exploring. He needs to find a good balance between offense and defense. I also agree Paul reed needs more minutes. I hate to say to but him and jaden springer are our best rebounders. I’d rather have Paul reed get 10+ Rebounds than Montrez harrel wcore 4 pts

  6. I think doc should use all four harden Tobias Embiid and maxey and then test pj, matisse and melton in the fifth slot to see who produces the best outcome. 🤐

  7. What do you guys think about dangling Maxey in a trade for a bonafide versatile wing ? You aren’t getting out of the East without anyone to slow down Tatum, Brown, Butler, Giannis etc

Sixers Receive: Mikal Bridges, Jae Crowder, Cameron Payne, 2025 1st

    Suns Receive: Tobias and Maxey.

Salaries match. Sixers save 3mil to get them out of the hard cap. Sixers also get an asset to get another piece if they want.

  8. Doc claims he will be trying out 3 different lineups with this current one with Maxey being the first. Although it seems to be working the past 3 games I do NOT NOT like the idea of making the Maxey a permanent 6th man because long term he has all-star potential and he should not be molded into a Lou Williams type… This is just my personal opinion but it's. a big difference Starter vs Bench no matter what you say. Basically, I would like to see the other TWO options and not just stick with this Maxey 6th man permanently just because it seems to be working.

To be honest, they were unhealthy most of the year and if Maxey is in he starting line-up I'm sure their win-loss would be the same!!! You can stagger the line-up where Maxey is on the floor more with the 2nd team but I do NOT like making him a 6th man of the year candidate PERMANENTLY!!! Thoughts anyone??? Am I in the minority in this view???
