  1. We have 13 first round picks in the next seven years. Plus, several second round picks. Why would we want to trade Jacob for even more picks? There are only 15 roster spots at any given time. Look at OKC, having to release quality players like Isaiah Roby cause they have nowhere to put him.

I say keep Jacob, try to resign him as a free agent by offering him say 20-23 million a year. If we lose him for nothing, we still have all those picks – and cap space. If we get Wemby of Scoot before he becomes a free agent, he’s more likely to stay as well.

  2. Romeo is a B- grade. For a guy that’s never gotten regular minutes in the NBA until this year (not his fault) and was supposed to be cut last October in favor of Joe Weiscamp, Romeo’s really made the most of his opportunity, just by getting regular starts. True, he is inconsistent right now, but his defense and hustle are exactly what a young team needs. And his scoring may become more consistent with time – here or with another team.

Considering he was a salary matching throw in for the D. White trade, he’s worked his way off the end of the bench and into the lineup, and should get better than a “D” grade, just based on grit alone.
