I don't think there's anything that can be traded for Luka, unless a whole franchise. He's untouchable right now. They're saying others won't get touches is wrong. Because Mavs never put any good player around him so they don't know that yet. But seeing how he was playing in Real Madrid, he's totally a team player, not heliocentric. If dallas spent more money than they are now, they can get great players. THey have a super talent and last in the spendings of all 30 teams

Tatum plays elite defense, can play off the ball, is more athletic and has a ton of playoffs and Finals experience more than Luka despite being only one year older. And I'm sorry, but Ja is not really in the conversation
Luka is a splendid offensive player but basketball is a 5v5 sport, if you put a mediocre defender and iso player like Doncic on the Celtics they would have trouble (no diss to Luka tho, he's a superstar and the choice is very hard)
No other star in the comp will play with Lukas ball hogging play style, he would have to severely change his game to get better players
Luka has proved it is almost impossible to build around him even when he had a solid number 2 player he would almost never deferred to them and would elect to take the ball himself only passing if his play wasn't going to work out and even without anyone he still does the same stuff and you may say but his assist numbers tho and what I have to say is watch any game where Luka has high assists the majority are off of plays where he can't get anything going so he passes and most of the time the ball comes back to him any way he's a ball hog and idc if he's got terrible players on his team he needs to be more willing to pass when he knows he can get things going and don't get me started on his awful defense that he doesn't even try to play he just stands there and let's the dude blow by or shoot over him it's pathetic that anyone who plays one side of the ball can be in any MVP conversations

luka is a better player statistically. put him on the current celtics roster and Marcus smart will not be playing. the defense will drop off significantly.
Tatum is easier to build around because he can play 3 and small ball 4. he doesnt require him team to cover him on defense and this year he has been playin off ball, screening and rolling. if luka learns how to play abit off ball, maybe yes. if not i m going TATUM all day!
