  1. CLAN you need to go on ALL THE SMOKE. You need to clear that smoke in SJ's face about the Spurs.
SJ likes to talk garbage about Manu and even Danny Green, when Manu was already a champion when he got to the Spurs. And Danny Green grew into a 3-point specialist while WITH THE SPURS. SJ actually went into decline after he left the Spurs.

  2. Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes were guys that could never stick on teams for multiple reasons, they have no credibility..

DJ is disappointing, and he's revealing his insecurities to the public. The Spurs would have never invested millions of dollars in drafting him if they were concerned about a potential "thug" image. Tony, for good reason, is a polarizing player amongst his peers. He was the best player on at least one championship team, but he also committed adultery with a teammates wife. And while the "selfish" portrayal that Jackson heaped onto Tony doesn't make sense, many of Tony's peers felt like he had a tendency of not focusing on basketball after winning championships. (meaning he would pursue stuff like making a rap album instead of focusing on trying to win again the following season).

This is just another example of guys feeling entitlement to experiencing more success than they have actually earned.

Spurs basketball has success when their players are selfless and absent of ego, it makes sense why guys like Jackson and DJ could not make it work here while guys like Robinson, Duncan, Elliot, Johnson, Manu, and even Parker could.

  3. Stephen thinks he is better than he actually was. At NO TIME during his career was he ever considered to be one of the best players in the league or even a B list player at best he was a slightly above average NBA player

  4. Always just cracks me up because Jackson talks like we'd have been better off with him as a number 1 option, but every time he was a number 1 option on a team, the team was one of the worst in the league. Out of the 17 seasons he played, he only had 8 seasons where he played for a team with a winning record. 4 of those were with the Spurs. In his best season of his career, he was part of the Golden State Warriors team that sucked and then ended up taking Curry in the draft. It's just odd to me that his argument is the Spurs held him back, but the Spurs are responsible for literally his only NBA accolade with the '03 title lol

  5. As a spurs fans, I always get infuriated when anyone said, "the Spurs are boring." Especially ESPN so called expert NBA analysts. Spurs ball is beautiful basketball. Period. Real Spurs fans who watched the Spurs every game know how good the Spurs were during the playoff and championship years. Some of the most iconic playoff games in NBA history. Spurs ball is playing the right way with effort.

  6. Like literally what Dejounte is describing is what 95% of the draft class each year goes through. The 5% who is playing significant time and enters the starting line up are lottery picks that go to terrible teams. Everyone else has to grind for minutes or sent down to G league for development. This is nothing out of the ordinary.

  7. I think the breaking meant the getting over yourself thing like I've heard Pop say many times. I mean Pop did make Tony cry, Pop tried to jump on and change Manu but Manu would say I quote "I'm Manu that's what I do" they even had Bowen bruise up Manu in practice to try and break him.
Even Timmy said he ignored Tony for a full year, that was the culture of the Spurs and it's okay that DJ didn't like it, I don't think Aldridge did either, it's a tough place to play. Tim Duncan is a top 3 player of all time, teammate's hated Jordan and the organization that was the Bulls. js.. . Good luck to him and the Hawks but bottom line he was drafted as a piece not a star, DJ is not someone you can build around period.

  8. Remember SJ was involved in the Detroit crowd incident with Metta world peace. A lot of character shown when sucker-punching someone a foot smaller than you

  9. Imo it's not a lie everybody is entitled to their own opinions that's his and Jackson's so I see nothing wrong with what he said

  10. TP said multiple times in interviews that his first year at the Spurs Timmy didn't talk to him. He didn't take it bad, he just persevered and things evolved.
That's just the Spurs way of doing things, you gotta show you're worth investing in, that's all.

  11. One second DJ is praising the spurs then he comes out of nowhere talking some shit yet he’s the one that loves talking about “keeping it real”

  12. I’m a “white guy” a “Derek white guy”. I hate Murray’s whining. You think us “blue collar” workers don’t have a hostile work environment? That our jobs are always fair ?

  13. lmfao Jack is out his mind. "I get it, I wouldn't wanna see me either"

2012: 37/27/66 shooting splits. Nah bruh, ain't nobody was scared to see you.

  14. I just want to mention the Spurs have moved on from DJ to better, and DJ is the one that can't let go of the Spurs and keeps mentioning us. His energy is "Ex who got dumped and can't get over it"

  15. TP went through 10 times what DJ went through as a young up & coming player.

  16. Honestly u gotta watch the whole interview u imo jus want to be right u skipped over most of it and missed a lot

  17. I told u clan these black players don't see there own people. It's not anybody fault but it's tuff. LaMarcus Aldridge kinda used to it being from tx

  18. Jack should give back his championship ring since he bad mouths the Spurs like that other fool.
