Spurs stay in 4th place in the tank standings. Orlando won so theres some breathing room.
Close L, Jeremy played well. Solid stuff
regardless of outcome I’ve really been enjoying seeing Sochan progress and minus a few games Zach has been great lately too. Stanley Johnson been fun to watch as well.
Had the clippers on the ropes for a while there. Great fight!
Good game. Loved that we only have 6 TO. We need more games like these where we lose simply because the other team has more star power
I really hope we keep Romeo, he’s such a good role player
Still feel like we should have celebrated 2014 tonight.
This feels like the end of Real Steel, where the Giant-Ass Robot still won, but the tiny little punching-bag-that-could 100% proved that the big dude could bleed.
Awesome game from our guys — the Clippers were lucky Devin wasn’t around tonight
Good tank game. We were playing great until we weren’t
Are the Spurs lowkey shutting down Jak? Cos ive been noticing Zach playing more down the stretch in the last few games.
Didn’t get to watch but seems like we ran with em, right? I really enjoy this team.
Jeremy processes the game super quick for a rookie. All his passes tend to be without much hesitation and generally are good reads. Joke on us for doubting Pop when he started the point Sochan experiment.
Romeo Langford is my friend
Really excited for when Jeremy gets comfortable enough with the ball that the Spurs can start. Looking to him consistently to score in the high and low post. He hasn’t had a lot of opportunities where he’s felt empowered or confident to put his head down and overpower his defender, but he almost always gets switched on to someone either too small or too slow to stay in front of him.
He’s so far ahead of the curve offensively from where I expected. Sky’s the limit
Zach Collins has legitimately turned into a really good, offensive center. It’s funny when we got him I figured he would turn into a very versatile defender who would probably struggle on offense for a season or two at least. Instead, he’s become sometimes a borderline liability on defense between his fouling and tendency to leap out of position going for ill advised blocks, but offensively is probably about as versatile of a backup center as you will find. Can hit the three, can take a couple of dribbles into a mid-range, has a really nice Power dribble move into a hook shot that he’s been dominating with the last few weeks.
Plus, while he’s not quite the passer of Jacob, he shockingly not that far away. If he can ever figure out how to stay out of foul trouble, he could become a low-end starter or truly elite backup in the league.
