The thing that bugs me about the Nets, even more so with KD out is they built a team with some of the best shooters in the league, but whenever KD and especially Kyrie think it's going to be tough, they hero ball. The nets have played some amazing basketball this season, but all their best games came with contributions from the team. In those games KD and Kyrie can still drop 30-40, but it's not forced and they're not just jacking up impossible iso shots. Them pushing for shots leaves others open, and when Seth, Joe, Patty, Royce, TJ are all contributing it gives KD and Kyrie more space to do easier iso. They win the occassional hero ball game just because KD and Kyrie are monsters and it can get them over the line, but more often than not, they fall short in those hero ball games.
They should fire those general managers for bringing in Ben Simmons, they fucked up.
Correction:…The Nets offered Kyrie an extension, it just wasnt the full 4yrs (it was reported 2yrs with a team option in year 2..so basically a 1yr deal)
Also..when Kyrie asked for a trade out of Cleveland, he NEVER spoke to Lebron about it (as he said clearly on First Take with Stephen A.)
I, for one, hope Kyrie can one day develop himself into being a reliable team leader. Some of these NBA teams could benefit from a steady veteran presence. I feel for the Brooklyn Nets.
