  1. Going to be a fun trade season, Spurs fans who do you think is mostly likely to go and why? Go Spurs Go!

  2. I doubt teams will give two 1st rounder for jakob but hey if it happens i will gladly accept it. And by the way spurs legend Gorgui deing just signed for another 10 day contract 😆

  3. It depends on what kind of two first rounders. Two unprotected first rounders is too much, two protected first rounders is not enough. One protected and an unprotected will work

  4. I think that’s asking way too much for JP unless we are taking on a bad contract

  5. I hope 🐢 stays maybe we get that “hometown” discount but the SPURS know what they’re doing Go SPURS Go

  6. You are not getting two firsts for him TSR if so this trade market is broken thanks to Minny’s Rudy Gobert trade

  7. You can get a first and multiple seconds from him but hopefully he is a future Dallas Mavericks for Davis Bertans as you will like it

  8. Poeltl is one if the best defensive, pick and roll, durable, passer big in the league. Of course he's worth 2 unprotected

  9. He is getting better so why trade him but we never now what they are going to do so Go Spurs Go!

  10. The warriors need a shot blocking big, but we’d be doomed at the center position if we traded away Jakob for nothing. How bout JP for James Wiseman and a 2026 1rp unprotected? Fair or no?

  11. Just a question Rich did you hear what Dejounte said about the spurs? I don't think spurs can get 2 first for jakob it will be difficult.

  12. I’ll be surprised if a team takes Dougie…pretty sure his contract is considered too expensive for a lot of the league

  13. Imo….Jak stays, J Rich goes, Doug goes, Zach stays…
    So it's #5 now 😄. Call Jackson #3 too.😁….along with #2.
    Go Spurs Go!!!
Go Giants Go (for this week only)!!!
    Go Cowboys Go!!!!

  14. GSG !! Beat the Clips. I am SA bound right now to see " What it Doo Babyyyyy " ? lol Let's Go.🎉🥳

  15. I'd say we keep em ,a big with defensive skill does not come by these day ,we are 1 all-star away from playoff (6-7) spot . Anyways we are guaranteed to get amen Thompson,so my two cents ,we good .

  16. Is it the bottom four teams in the league have an equal shot for highest percentage (still relatively low) at #1 pick? Then keeping someone as fundamentally sound as Poeltl on the roster to help guide Wembanyama, IF San Antonio is in a position to choose him. His experience and work ethic would benefit any rookie, especially a player coming into the league with the expectations that Victor Wembanyama will have. Saying that, Scoot Henderson is going to have a chip on his shoulder being in Victor's shadow. I tend to prefer selecting players that have extra added motivation built into their consciousness. Anything short of the 1st or 2nd pick will be a disappointment imo though.

  17. I would like to see either Richardson or McDermott for Beverley plus Laker's 2 2023 2nd round picks. That will be good for this year's draft capital, but I'd prefer Richardson in this deal though.

As for Poeltl, Spurs is still asking for a high price for him as the team would like Poeltl to:
    1. Stay with the team, where they can offer Jakob a bigger contract in the off season, that a few of the teams could match, maybe up to $80M/4years.
    2. If ever a team would bite the high price for their team get some oomph into the playoffs and give them a chance to compete, at least Spurs will not be left in a total loss.

However, I was thinking, if Jakob gets traded,he becomes FA by the off season, Spurs can still offer him the same contract and he'd be back in the team if he really like being a Spur. Eventually a big win for the team, as they get 2 first rounders plus they get Jakob back.

  18. Poltl turned downed the Spurs extension offer, which was the max they were able to offer him with NBA rules (I don't blame him). I'd like to see them trade him and then try to sign him in free agency. This guarantees they get something for him, plus they will know who they drafted by that time and how they want to shape their roster. I think Golden State would probably be the best trade partner. A rental makes more sense for them with their absurd salary situation and their stars are getting older. They also have plenty of young big men they can trade, so a first round pick and one of Kuminga, Moody, Wiseman, or PBJ would be the equivalent to two firsts. Zach Collins' contract is not guaranteed, so if a team wants a rental that works, if they want him for another year that works too. With the open cap space and good contracts, the Spurs really put themselves in a good place for the trade market this year.
