“One other stealth name I’ve been advised to keep an eye on: Charlotte’s P.J. Washington, whose expiring $5.8 million salary is much easier to match in a trade. A team like, say, the Miami Heat could trade its 2023 first and fungible contracts for him to get his RFA rights.”

Him and/or McDaniels from the Hornets. Try to retain this year’s pick. That would be really solid from Pat.

I like him, and we need someone like him. But I’m not sure he’s worth the 1st if he’s just a rental

I would trade a 1st for him easy. We rarely get good draft position and PJ has great fit with Bam and Jimmy. If we could get McDaniels or Plumlee also in the deal that would be ideal.

I don’t watch the Hornets. How good is PJ?

I literally said Miami should target PJ earlier today. WTF Pat just hire me. I’ll take my salary in pastelitos pls. It’s hard getting them up here in the mid atlantic

Weren’t there talks of Yurt + something else for PJ at last year’s deadline? Wonder what a deal is gonna look like this time. If we could get Plumlee too and unload Dedmon, we can make a serious post-deadline run.

PJ is a bit bigger than Jimmy with shot blocking ability and a decent 3. My issue is that while he’s bigger than what Heat have, he would still be small. I’m a bit torn on this 1.

[Washington is the exact PF we need](https://youtu.be/VKTktD10w08)

The guy has shown really nice potential to be a 2 way PF the Hornets defense is just a disaster but betting on PJ is the perfect low risk move for us.
