I'm a Warriors fan and I must admit that Jokic is phenomenal to watch. He draws in the D in the post like Curry on the perimeter.
The Nuggets are playing so well right now.
Until this year the best Denver team was Dan Issel, Bobby Jones and David Thompson – who battled the Doctor and the New Jersey Nets for the last ABA title – losing in 6 games. This Denver team is better.

I’ve personally never heard or read somebody say he’s over rated. He’s just not as flashy like other stars

Extremely underrated, people Still don’t want to give him credit sometimes because he lacks athleticism but it doesn’t matter he’s still one of the greatest Basketball players that’s ever lived

Somehow Jokic is both under- and properly rated. To the masses and Nick Wright (as well as a lot of ESPN "analists") Jokic is an undeserving two-time MVP (mainly bc he won it twice), to people who watch him play, do not care about narrative and who value advanced stats the Joker is considered at least top 5, which seems fair. I still think that some of his skills don't get the recognition to the extent that he deserves but it seems like people are slowly coming around. To me his passing is the best in the league right now, the best for a big ever, and headed towards a top 5 all-time trajectory, so in that sense I probably think most people underrate him.
By me.If you are so good in attack. The best. And by the way 11 12 rebs.per game i think how much he gives in a attack makes him the same for defense.Exellent in attack means enough for defence!!!
His defense is undervalued l, he is still making a lot of blocks/deflections.
But realistically, there is only so much he can do against agile guys.

His defense rating is 11th among active centers, now go check out how many centers are better all-time, this eras centers are all very weak on defense so that's gonna help jokic on offense but put him back in the day where his defense rating wouldn't even crack top 25 back in 04, if jokic wants to be considered of the greatest centers ever he gonna need to up his D bc all I'm seeing are inflated stats bc Joel embiid is the only center in the league with a defense rating respectable enough to compete against those all time great centers

I feel like most if not all of the people that hate on or don't give credit to Jokic have simply just never watched a full Nuggets game. They all just go off of some highlights or what the media says. I think he is underrated. He pop's off for a big man. He's 7 foot tall doing things point gaurds do and can't do. If he was a more selfish player, he would be dropping even more points but he's not. He is the most selfless player while still getting it done 💯
Man, all this talk that he doesn't deserve B2B MVP is going to shatter when he takes the 3rd, and then the ring in post season. They just need to stay healthy and I don't see a better team then Denver or a better player than The Joker.

Jokic will be top 20 ever, if he wins 3rd mvp. He will have most pressure to win a championship. Only 8 players in nba history won a mvp and no championship. Only 3 won 2 mvps and no rings. There’s no 3 time mvp winners without a championship
Plus he's achieving this with not as much usage rate as the others. He's around #40 in usage rate
In the last 23 games, the Nuggets are 1st in offensive rating and 7th in defensive rating. At this stage that's more than half the season. If they can continue that improvement, that's all you need.
The take on him committing to get in the best shape of his life is dated as well. He did that the season before he won MVP. He's in elite shape as far as conditioning goes and he's much faster and quicker on his feet than he was even 3 years ago. He'll never be that quick on his feet but that's ok. He doesnt have to be.
Also poor phrasing on "Memphis is looking in their rearview" rather – they're still looking UP at Denver in the standings despite their long win-streak (against some really weak competition it must be said, but they handled business)
Bruce Brown was an amazing pick up for Denver. High IQ basketball players that does all the little things right and already has good chemistry with Jokic.
