Silas says, team will ‘probably’ continue playing through Alperen Şengün, when KPJ is back.
I asked Houston Rockets head coach Stephen Silas if more of the offense will run through center Alperen Sengun once guard Kevin Porter Jr. returns from injury. #Rockets #Sarge @TheRocketsWire pic.twitter.com/jTQz3vkv0H

Guess it’s back to iso
I give it one half before we see KPJ walking the ball up the court and not passing it to anybody before taking a contested fading middy
The ball should def go through Al-P but Kevin already has it in his mind that he’s the point guard and must dictate every possession that Jalen doesn’t. I don’t see him willingly being the 3rd option
Inaccurate title there, he was asked if he sees himself incorporating it (running through Alpi) “a little more” when KPJ comes back, to which is still only replied with a begrudging “probably”
Idk when KPJ is coming back. Initially it was said that he’d be out indefinitely. More recently I’ve seen that they’d reevaluate in a week. None of that seems “indefinite” to me (which usually means at least months not weeks).
Assuming KPJ is back in a week or two, I really dislike this answer from Silas and I think it’s bad.
But if indefinite means what I think it usually means and KPJ is coming back for the first game of next season, then this answer should be a MAJOR RED FLAG that Silas and or Stone is hardcore screwing around. If they play through KPJ over Sengun or a new point guard next season, then the management really don’t deserve to have us as fans
That’s 100% a “I’m thinking about what to get for dinner after this” non-answer. It means nothing either way.
