Interesting snippet from Nurse’s book. This was from the chip year. So take it for what ever it is worth.

damn, Fred really do be fucking up the vibes. Between that shit he was pulling during summer camp and stuff like this, you really gotta wonder if hes worth keeping around.

  2. NoseBlind2

Praise to criticism ratio of six to one gonna be the new raptors circlejerk phrase

  3. cutedogowner

I didn’t realize he even had a book. I just placed a hold on it at the library. Thanks!

  4. It-sOkBro

you should definitely demand the ball when OG has it, lest he start dribbling.

  5. Menessy27

Bros mad that the PG came to collect the ball off the rebound? Especially when OG is so bad at dribbling 5ish years later… yikes man

I don’t necessarily buy all the stuff around OG but it’s popping up pretty frequently now and it comes off as incredibly delusional considering his lack of offensive skills. If he does get traded before the deadline it’s probably true but if not then who knows

  6. thenewoldschool55

Fred also complained about Kawhi taking load management.

Lowry had to tell him to STFU

  7. Ylissian

I’ve seen enough dribble drives from OG to know that Fred was right 💀

This book is really good though, I recommend it. Nick Nurse has lived a very full life.

  8. KingOfWeTheNorth

Yeah, but have you seen OG handle the ball at the top of the key? Lmao

  9. I have no idea but I don’t think he’s been able to achieve the 6:1 ‘Praise: criticism’ ration when looking at the bench this season

  10. vladitocomplaino

Let’s not become Boston-ish media/fans, who rip players once traded, if that’s what happens with OG.

  11. FolloMiSensi

we all seen OG’s handles, give Fred the effn ball lol

  12. 0ctobyte

I know all the hate is on Fred these days but he ain’t wrong about this one lol OG been in the league for 6 years and his handles are comparatively awful. I’d rather have FVV handle the ball from the top.

  13. lillithfair98

even the point guard in an average pickup game does this, what’s the big deal?

  14. Key-Antelope-6839

FVV being smart as usual, OG cant dribble for his life

  15. thebigbadowl

People here complaining about OG handles but miss the point that Nurse has instructed the rebounder to bring the ball up the floor and FVV is not listening.

When OG complains, Nurse just makes up an excuse for FVV.

If I were in OG’s position I’d want the coach to explain to FVV the value of getting into our offense quicker and correct his behaviour.

  16. jigglyanimeboobies

So do y’all think Fred and OG have a long-standing beef from like three years ago? Is it not possible that the two could have addressed it? This is like saying Boucher hates Pascal because he took a rebound from him two years ago at practice.

  17. Friendly-Target8815

Judging this excerpt, Fred or OG will be leaving.

  18. Own-Jellyfish7800

holy smokes. all the drama this year and this snippet is only being discussed intensely now??

  19. MadVillain1

That excerpt about Norm is hilarious. I wonder what he finished the game with.

  20. kaiyoukhan

Fred tried to fuck up the Kawhi vibes too. Until Kawhi told him to fetch some Gatorade

  21. What’s the book called and where can I find it

  22. Plantedballer

Someone please repost this with the proper context highlighted.
Nephews be reading the highlight and ignoring the fact that NN *specially asked* his players to push the ball up themselves.
OG was doing that and Fred demanded the ball. Who knows how many other players Fred did this to

  23. ThatDamnKyle

Why do I feel like we’re in the timeline where we trade OG and GTJ for win-now moves… I don’t like this timeline.

  24. PepperPepper6

This really makes that Gillette commercial much more personal.

  25. This is a non story. Draymond knocked Poole the fuck out and it was downplayed. It’s a long season, sometimes several seasons, teammates are gonna have complaints about each other. It even happens during games.

  26. PepperPepper6

Side-note… That 6:1 praise to criticism ratio is a really great leadership tactic to use.

  27. no joke i’ve seen a couple raps game when both FVV OG & skal where on the floor. FVV starts chucking the ball when OG open in the corner & Skal got a mismatch in the low post

  28. revvolutions

    Bet on yourself.

But seriously Fred was the only one that wouldn’t interact with us when the bus was stopped during the parade. Always chalked it up to a hang over. But maybe he just doesn’t give a fuck.

  29. Nat_Feckbeard

ratio of six to one!? did he mean “criticism-to-praise” ratio?

  30. UnderwaterDialect

Praise to criticism ratio of 6:1. That’s so interesting! As someone who supervises people, I’ve never thought about it in those terms. Have other coaches talked about that?

  31. Bleachdrinker1998

Y’all wonder why OG’s handle is still so far behind the rest of his game, his mfing “point guard” wouldn’t even let him dribble the ball in practice during his key development years. Next time OG turns it over on a drive just remember who got in the way of him expanding his skillset
