Definitely a winnable game. Too many turnovers. However, being down 3 starters and your main bench guy doesn’t help. To your point on the minutes, I think to compare to last year, it’s a little different. They had to ramp up towards the end for seeding and went to two unnecessary game 7s. This year they probably can rest at towards the end of the season since they’re off to a better start
Pritch would rather try 3 pt shots than drive the ball in… and sometimes he hits the 3s but sometimes not. Maybe needs to drive in the ball now and then.
As usual Buuble Joe would not call a timeout
Another loss on Joe. Call the damn timeout. why burn the clock in the final 20secs when you trail by 2? give your guys a breather coming from a backtoback and playing heavy minutes.
Also, why didn't he play JD Davidson. He could have facilitated and attacked. Putting too many minutes on JT, DWhite and Pritchard had them falling short on their shots late in the game.
Kabangele is also an active big guy, he could have played and gave some minutes of rest for the main guys.
Well, he is a rookie coach. Hope he learns fast.

Coach Mazzulla has struggled with timeouts all season. Maybe it’s me but he is very different in how he handles timeouts from say all the coaches in the league I have seen for decades. Tatums minutes are worrisome. My takeaway is that Tatum needs to decide what more important MVP votes or having the energy to play in the playoffs. His minutes have been high all season but After playing the 2,3,4 quarter & OT vs Golden State with no break when it gets late in games he starts making more mental mistakes like turnovers. Never mind the injuries is bad. Maybe I’m wrong but that’s my take. I think given that Butler was out matters as does JB Brogden Smart and Horford.

Hauser looks like he could use a change of scenery. He isn’t cold… he’s Siberian frozen, damn near @ 0 kelvin.

It’s funny cause his game reminds me of some other local kid on the Heat who we didn’t see (Robinson). If he doesn’t hit; it’s a big liability. He hits and it’s a big impact.

Bad coaching. And Hauser and Pritchard are liabilities. They should have been taken out after a few minutes. Grant gets in a roll and they stopped passing to him. The Celtics are playing against lousy teams and refs at the same time almost every game it seems lately, and losing.
Hopefully Joe is learning something from this one
again you celtics fans calling for Joe’s job after every L is exhausting. he didn’t nor would he have made it this far if he really did suck as a coach. Game came down to players being tired (because the lack of players we had to begin the night) & Late game execution. Brogdon was for sure needed because miami knew all they had to do was double tatum to force the others to score and they’d probably live with it (as you can see from the results) . Anyways time to move onto the next game.

John, can you ask Tom how a shooter’s shot can disappear for months? I just don’t get the Hauser situation. I understand going from an open shooter to being guarded, but that didn’t seem like Sam’s situation. His shot when cold at a time when our spacing was at its best.

Not worried about a 2 game road losing streak. Celtics still have the best road record in the league. At this point Jaylen is just as good as Jimmy Buckets, so good for you Celtics for giving Miami the business for 3 quarters on their court while being so shorthanded.
Tatum is at 37.13 minutes per game, second to Luka in the league for players amongst league leaders in total minutes played. He might be The Ironman, but even Tony Stark needs time repair his suits of armor

I know the Heat didn’t have Jimmy Butler but…The C’s played their C team. Justin Jackson had double digit minutes. No disrespect to Justin Jackson but the Heat got outplayed by the C’s end of the bench rotation. Even though they gave it up at the end, that was a “good loss” is my opinion.

I agree they need to manage these guys minutes better, the more fatigued they are, the more likely injuries will pop up. Brogdon/Smart need to initiate late game plays, unfortunately both were out.
This is why it was important to win those early games. Celtics were very short handed and butler was out for Miami but the Heat were more desperate. Celtics still a great team.
