I mean, if you could trade Sharpe for an all star at Paul George’s 2019 level you gotta think about it.

I wouldn’t trade him for any less than a KD level player. Because KD is about the only player right now that could make us serious contenders in the west. I can’t see any other top 10 player being traded right now, KD is the most likely choice.

But shai gilgeous scored one better in intangibles. And intangibles are notoriously the most easily quantifiable stat for young players.

Big difference between 6-6 PG and 6-5 SG

If a pandemic hadn’t interrupted the entire planet and Kawhi didn’t get injured the next year, that’s 2 years in a row where the clippers were serious threats to win a championship. Kawhi was only going to the clippers if they brought in PG as well. Trading Shai effectively got them Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. They probably don’t regret losing Shai and whatever his 34 win team would have looked like.

The clippers got a conference finals appearance out of it and are 100% going to the finals that year if Kawhi’s knee didn’t explode.

100% agree with this, we’d regret trading Sharpe imo.

  7. Oh man I love our boy but SGA as a rookie already had some special underlying statistics. On the flip side, Sharpe has some of the worst numbers in the NBA, even if there are logical reasons why.

trading Sharpe for anything less than a superstar would be a bad idea. No idea exactly how he’s going to turn out but the potential is there for sure.

7 in leadership is a bit generous lmao

lotta sideways takes in this sub rn but this is actually reasonable facts

Yeah we probably shouldn’t trade Sharpe but Shai was way better in his rookie year. He’s developed exactly like how expected. I don’t feel what I felt with Shai with Sharpe

    Please don’t make those comparisons…

Especially if Sharpe is your guy.

After all, Shai had to go somewhere else to make his money.

If we were seriously close to competing, I’d say go for it if someone wants to overpay.

    But we’re not. At all.
