  1. I’m so tired of watching THJ play for this team. Way too inconsistent and is constantly making bad decisions with the ball in his hands.

  2. If you lose 6-8-10 in a row you tank. You dump salary and tank.
You move Wood for picks and tank. We can theoretically get to the 5th slot and have a 10-20% Chance at a top 2 pick…..and they would make it all worth it. A 2nd star next to Luka for the next 10-15 years? It would totally be worth it. How do you think virtually every dynasty was built guys? Give it some more thought gentlemen. IF!!!! We go on an extended losing streak we do what every other team does. You dump Hardaway, Bertans, Wood, ect……and go for Draymond next year, scoot in the draft and pray they jell.

  3. Could you imagine Luka, Wood, Spencer and Rozier playing together. Bring Wood and Rozier off the bench for a 1-2 punch

  4. bad time to premote fanduel when everyone on twitter is complaining about them not voiding luka legs when other sportsbooks are lol

  5. I was too tired to stay up and watch the whole game, but glad to see that the guys rallied for the win without their top 2 scorers.

But checking out statistics, how can playing but 3 minutes qualify you for having played a game. Luka dropped nearly a whole point in the scoring title race after getting hurt, according to the NBA official site, from 33.8 to 33 per game.

  6. I only watched the first half, but it was refreshing not seeing Luka flop all over the place and yell at the refs for what was not a foul. When he's on he's incredible, but he's equally annoying a lot of the time. He needs to cause less drama and just play basketball

  7. Is there a graph of how well teams historically play the next season after tanking? I get the feeling that it's not so easy to stop slacking off: “Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny. Consume you, it will.”

  8. huge w on the road , wish i could’ve went . it’s my hometown , had 3 buddies over my pad going for our hometown. had my dirk jersey on .

  9. This was an important game for our standing in the western conference, but when Luka had to leave it became an even more important game to win. I was unsure if Dallas could be able to win a game without Luka this season, but to win without both Luka and Christian Wood I thought would be impossible, its incredibly good for the team morale that they did. Sure Suns were without Booker, but they have won four games in a row including against Nets and Grizzlies which are good teams so its not like they suck without Booker.

Also think (or at least hope) that it was important for Spencer's confidence to have a game where he could be the headliner for a change

  10. Can you imagine the feeling in Spencer’s gut when he sees Luka go down? “Oh sh!t! I’m Luka Doncic!”

  11. Our shooting and defense efficiency has to be high if we dont get rebounds which directly effect chances and possession.

  12. The think the team could use some Luka-less time for the rest of the team to come together and figure out how to win without him. Last night was the best possible start… they didn't collapse, Spencer balled out, and they BEAT THE SUNS!!!!!!!!!!

  13. Regarding the rebounding thing: both can be true.

If you shoot with high efficiency, rebounds matter less.

If you aren't shooting well, rebounds are critical to get more shot attempts.

Now take the Mavs – a team built almost exclusively around the three point shot, but FULL of streaky shooters.

It depends on which version of the Mavs you get…in the series against the Suns, the Mavs basically couldn't miss in their wins. If you're shooting like 55% from three and 65% from the field who cares about rebounds.

In the losses, where you're closer to 33% from three and 45% from the field, now you better hope you can get some rebounds because it's basically the ONLY path to victory when the shots aren't falling.

When you're a Jekyl & Hyde team, sometimes you need more Jekyl to win and sometimes you need more Hyde to win..depends on who shows up.

What you're not going to find is a long list of games where you shot like doodoo AND got killed in rebounds and still won.

  14. Blazers are trading Damian Lillard.
So: Lillard for Dinwiddie, THJ, Josh Green, Hardy and futures 2 first picks.
    Orlando Magic are trading MoBamba.
So: MoBamba for Bullock and fitures 1 first pick

  15. Spence had the eye of the liger last night 😮. Luka needs to give him the ball more and just take turns! After games like these i’m excited for kleber and wood to get back in there and then the mavs might lose to the pistons or some shit 😂

  16. Love DP's effort every night. I wish he had another 2 inches so he could be a better rebounder/shot blocker.

  17. You can't make too much from one game, but if the Mavs continue to show that they can be competitive without Luka, then we may come to the conclusion that Dinwiddie might be their second star and the problem with the Mavs is not a lack of talent, but a flaw in their game plan. If the offense becomes less Luka-centric and Dinwiddie, Green, DFS, and Hardy can make scoring in the lane a regular thing, the Mavs might turn things around.
