Gordon is not a competition since he is not a guard. If Ant beats Fox on Saturday and Monday he should make the ASG over him.

I understand the argument for fox given the team record and clutch numbers but the other two are not competitive
Thatboyafreak
Fox is getting in not Ant and that’s ok
TheeMalaka
It should be between Ant and Fox and I understand the Fox argument.
But I also would like to point out record wise after seeing how we started and the amount of injuries we’ve had that Ant deserves credit for us being a 500 team.
I get sac had a good year but I think us being 500 with the amount of injuries we had should actually lean on ant, but that’s my homerism I wouldn’t be mad at sac fans for arguing their record meaning more.

Fox is having a great season. He’s probably been the most clutch player this season. I can see why he’s ahead of Ant among the majority of NBA watchers

Gordon getting in would be so stupid
FlyingScissor
Ant would be a definite in if he could have just beat Detroit 2x and Houston this week. Change those Ls to Ws and he is in no doubt.

If it’s between Ant and Fox for the last guard spot and Fox gets it it’s completely understandable. Dude has been rotting away in Sactown for years, and now that the Kings are successful him being snubbed this year would be outrageous.

Ant is just impossible to draw or render in any form, apparently

the Kings are impressive this year. They’re fun and they get a lot of buckets. If they were a 1 seed, then sure. Give ‘em two all stars. But, to me, their record isn’t impressive enough to merit both Sabonis and Fox as selections. Pick one or the other but not both. I’m also of the belief that 3-5 guys that will make all star shouldn’t qualify based purely on games played. I also like Stephen Colbert and despise Jimmy Fallon, but if we’re talking ice cream flavors it’s the opposite. My point is, it doesn’t matter what I think. But if you’re asking, Ant Edwards deserves to be an all star.

It’s a discussion because Fox and PG are generally as effective or more effective when they play.
I’m leaving Gordon out because his case is different (he is a high end role player imo and shouldn’t make it). He’s also not really competing with Ant for a spot.
Bball Reference Pace Adjusted stats (per 100 possessions)
Fox: 34/6/9 on .594 TS. 4.1 WS. 1.6 BPM. 2.1 Net
George: 34/9/8 on .600 TS. 3.2 WS. 3.7 BPM. 5.3 Net
Ant: 32/8/5 on .570 TS. 2.9 WS. 0.9 BPM. 1.6 Net
All 3 score at similar rates, but Fox and George are more efficient and average more assists. Fox and George are higher in Win Shares and (by the fact they have played less) Win Shares per 48. They are also beating out Ant in box plus minus and net rating.
Some other models like Ant more than Fox, but also have PG rated way higher than both in most cases.
528’s Raptor has PG at 6.5, Ant at 2, and Fox at 0.8.
528’s WAR has PG at 5.6, Ant at 4.4, and Fox at 2.7.
Dunks and Threes’ EPM has PG at 5.5, Ant at 2, and Fox at 1.7.
Dunks and Threes’ estimated wins has PG at 6.9, Ant at 6.2, and Fox at 4.7.
Bball Index’s LEBRON has PG at 2.7, Ant at 1.58, and Fox at 1.68.
Bball Index’s WAR has PG at 3.7, Ant at 4.6, and Fox at 3.8.
It should be noted that bball references’ win shares, 538’s WAR, dunks and threes’ estimated wins, and bball index’s WAR are all influenced by the amount of time a player spends on the court.
I know all these models have inherent biases (like Raptor calling Jokic the best defensive player in the league), but that is why I looked at a bunch of different sources.
Ultimately I think Fox and Ant are comparable and Ant vs PG really comes down to a quality vs quantity argument and for an allstar game I would probably lean towards quality.

Fox is gonn make ot 100% I hope ant gets in too.

Gtfo out of here with PG and Kawi. Both those dudes have missed like half the season, load management bitches. Nobody wants to see Robo Kawi over ANT in the all star game.
