The Grizzlies probably earn the lowest local TV contract in the NBA and the owner is one of the NBA’s richest so the team may be insulated somewhat; but will this hurt the Grizzlies and the many teams that have Bally Sports as their regional TV broadcaster?

I hope it forces them to make nice with YouTube TV and the other streaming TV services like that.

I’m of the mindset that the NBA might go away from these regional deals in the long run in favor of making League Pass the go to service. Could be a good opportunity for them to try this out in the Memphis market if Bally were to lose the contract.

They need to get rid of the regional and just use league pass. It will be easier for fans to watch games. When the grizzlies travel, we still have to watch Bally sports. And for those that have season tickets they give you a free league pass but grizzlies are still blacked out which is idiotic

It’s been reported that the league will look to move away from regional broadcasting all together in the coming years which will be a blessing to everyone. These regional broadcasters make watching sports such an unnecessarily massive pain in the ass and I for one am so tired of it

My comment has nothing to do at all with anything… But the name Bally Sports doesn’t have any flair to it at all. I miss Fox Sports South. But primarily because it didn’t sound stupid like Bally Sports. I too, would like it to be on YouTube Tv or some other streaming service like others have mentioned.

As long as Pete, Brevin, and Rob are still working Grizzlies games I don’t care what channel they are on
blj3321
The league is going to own it all soon and have to subscribe to league pass.

Good, it’s easier to access an illegal stream then Bally sports. If they don’t want to have a functioning stream then they should go extinct.
spacejambroni
I really hope the League makes League Pass the go to while giving National channels plenty of games as well. There’s definitely some infrastructure to setup but they could do really well with this in the long run if it’s setup correctly.

I wonder which network will swoop in and buy it?
Blahblahbla0066
don’t care what happens as long as Pete & Brevin are kept as the commentary team.
