San Antonio Spurs 50th Anniversary | Back Home In The Dome Game, 01. 13.2023



In celebration of 50 years of Spurs basketball, the San Antonio Spurs returned to the Alamodome for a regular season game against the Golden State Warriors and to break the NBA single-game attendance record with 68,323 fans. The night included pregame festivities, a light show, a halftime performance by 90’s hip-hop duo Tag Team, fireworks and more!

I FOLLOWED GEORGE ICEMAN GERVIN SINCE ICE WAS PLAYING FOR THE VIRGINIA SQUIRES FEBRUARY 1973 AND I WAS AT THE HALL OF FAME WHEN ICE WAS INDUCTED MAY 1996 AND I LOOK LIKE JAMES JIMMY SI CAPTAIN LATE SILAS WOW IT'S BEEN A GREAT 50 YEARS FOR ME WOW WHAT A LIFE I'VE LIVED AND IM ONLY 64 YEARS OLD 🧓

  2. It was a pretty decent experience. I loved the light show we did with our phone flashlights, the starting lineups were nostalgic, and I liked they brought back the original sounds they’d play during the classic games. But man, my brother and I weren’t in the nosebleeds or even close to them and yet we still felt far away. There was this giant gap between where we were sitting and the next seats closest to the court, I had to adjust my eyes a lot. Tag Team at halftime was pretty cool too though. Idk, I just wish the court had been more centered, cause it felt so far away. Glad to be a part of history nevertheless.
