This is why I think Luka is more like Jordan than LeBron. Luka is more genuinely confident than LeBron, which makes him more of a killer. (That's not to say Luka is MJ, as he certainly can't jump or defend like Mike. Nor is it to say that Luka is better than LeBron, although I think he could eclipse him eventually.)

I think you need to track most popular player in two categories, all time, and then recent. Tom Brady is by far the most popular football player of all time, by jersey sales, in fact he owns two of the top 5 all time, Bucs and Patriots so yes Burrow may become the current 2023 most popular player but nobody will touch Brady.
