Nowhere fast
Trade what you can for good value and tank, hoping for good luck in the draft. I would rather that than many more years of a ceiling where an early playoff exit is probable.
Blazers are dumb and lillard is equally dumb they suck and will continue to suck for years to come unless they make some kind of big move. Best hope is to trade away lillard tank or trade for siakam from raptors
The Western Conference is log jam except for the top 2 spots so the Blazers could easily make the playoffs
Wolves: Dame
Blazers: Antman,Russel
Not to the playoffs that’s for sure
I just want to see this guy win a championship he deserves it
Damian Lillard….love the guy, he's loyal to his team, but we must face the truth the team can't attract high profile players. I felt they were better off keeping CJ McCollum replacing Jursef Nurkic, they made some great additions, but still not enough surprisingly. I don't see a team taking Lillard with that massive contract, with him being in mid 30's.
I just don't think winning a championship means that much to Dame. If he can't win it in Portland then he's good with not winning one
Same place they've always been in route to.. no where ..
does portland have their 2023 pick?
Trade Ant, JH and some younger players like keon and trendon maybe shaedon if the deal is right. I think Nurk is a little bit above average center also can shoot 3's now Portland can keep him and i dont think there is a deal out there where they can get a better center. Simmons is good but we all saw dame/cj and i can argue dame/simmons is worst. No way they can sign JH so trade him now to get value
As a blazer fan since I was around 6 and exposed to the team, it’s just that our team is a small market, we don’t go out and make big moves, we’re too timid when it comes to building a contender and we lack urgency and aggressiveness. Dame wants yes men around him, he’s a winner and i love him but he doesn’t want a coach that’s going to hold everyone “else” to a high standard. Billups is way too chill to be coaching this high level of basketball. He lacks an alpha presence and is just everyone’s best friend on the team, which won’t work. We need to get rid of nurk and some other pieces like Simons and find another star with great role pieces. Cmon portland let’s make some moves baby!
Dame will end up in the ‘greatest players to never win a chip’ conversation. He’s genuinely a top 3-5 player in the league right now but because of his teams struggles, will never get proper recognition. He’s been doing this over a decade with the same team. Blazers need to do something very quick, or blow it up because they’re not winning a championship
Lillard is a great player and good dude but Blazers sealed their fate when the extended Lillard to this monster deal.
I would hate to see Portland tank again that would suck I been a fan since I was 12
Given the Blazers rough patch that they are currently going through, they still are only 2 games back of 4th in the West. They still aren't at full strength with Justice Winslow out. I think at the very least, Jusef Nurkic should take a back seat and come off the bench and let Drew Eubanks get the starting minutes. He's more athletic, he plays better defense and his fg shooting percentage is 75%. Dame knows that this is not a championship team, but in the off-season he stated that he wanted to be at least a competitive team in the playoffs. Joe Cronin stated before the season that he didn't think the Blazers were done making moves. I'm thinking that if they don't make a trade before the deadline they will in the off-season.
I said this a while back, it didnt make sense for dame or bradley beal to stay on there respective teams because they believed they are showing loyalty but the teams arent good enough and realistically the team is going to want to eventually do a complete rebuild and force dame and beal out…..
Dame to Washington wizards.
